I'm sick and tired of hearing this from sports commentators/analysts when they talk about the MVP race between Harden and Westbrook.

"I have to vote for Westbrook because he doesn't have as much talent surrounding him like Harden does."

    Are you phuckin ******** me?!?!?

I'm not a big social media poster but, if one of you could ask this question to one of those ****s when they make that comment:

Who would you pick as your two guard: Oladipo or Gordon?
Who would you pick as you starting center: Adams or Capella?
Who would you pick as your backup center: Kanter or Nene?

Every single one of those ****s who make the "Westbrook has to carry the load" bullcrap remark will pick Oladipo, Adams and Kanter.

I'm sick and tired of the MVP talk.

Winning is what matters. Harden just needs to focus on that and let the rest happen.

if you're going to break it down like that honestly, id take gordon and nene. then after that the rest of okc's roster is mediocre. And the gap between Adams and capella is mostly due to experience and size. other than that both are limited as far as skills. get their garbage points and off pick and rolls

So, you're telling before the season started, if you had the choice between Oladipo/Gordon and Kanter/Nene, you would have chosen Gordon and Nene to be on the Rockets between the options?

i sure would. oladipo isn't the type of player that can get you 20 on a consistent bases, nor is he the type of shooter Gordon is. oladipo's best attribute is pretty much defensively. Oladipo is a solid player but I'd say EG is a way better fit for this team. never been really impressed with kanter. has decent offensive game and touch for a big but other than that doesn't do much. Atleast with Nene he adds toughness, solid pick and rolls, good screener, respectable mid range jumper, good verteran. Playing on the contract Nene's playing on is absolute icing on the cake considering his impact on this team

Harden will never get the full credit he's deserves. If he took the Rockets to the finals and won it, people would say he wouldn't have won sh*t if Jordan was still in the league.

I think most neutral fans would take Gordon, Adams, Kanter from that list.

he actually is that type of capable scorer and has done so in his career. Oladipo on the other hand isn't good enough on offense to be able to do so

I have to admit that I'm rooting harder for Harden than I am the Rockets this season. The MVP is the primary goal for me. The title is more or less an illusion. The MVP is a means to an end. Right now it's about Harden's development and who we can attract. So the MVP, that's a way to the title down the road.

Before the season every NBA expert said that the Thunder would have a better record than the Rockets mainly because they thought the Thunder had more talent.

Fast forward 3 months the Rockets have the better record so the Rockets must have a better and more talented roster than the Thunder.

Its more the mentality of people. When the Thunder hit a skid in the season it was because Westbrook has no supporting cast. When the Rockets hit a skip its because James Harden is not good enough to be MVP.

Well 1st, Westbrooke is everything for OKC. I understand the supporting cast talk, but just think, take Westbrooke out of the game, who can generate offense for OKC consistently to win? No one. At least Gordon and Beverley can spell Harden and keep our lead or build upon it without Harden. Plus, most of OKC players are one-way players if you really see what they do: Kanter, Morrow, Roberson, Payne, Grant, Lauvergne, Huestis, Singler and Christon. Plus this isn't a perfect fit roster like Harden has.

2nd: Westbrooke is averaging a triple-double, you can't ignore something that only Oscar Robertson did.

You have to look at the entire picture and not just bits and pieces. Yeah, Houston is 3rd in the West and OKC is 7th, but there was a time where voters would make Anthony Davis MVP is he could stay healthy and carry his team to the playoffs, or higher than the 8th seed.

Interesting. I don't think this way, but it would be nice if you're right.

Wait, before the season yall would take the eric gordon that hasn't really played a full season, and hasn't even been THAT great when he played over Olidipo who is a young, durable, defensive prospect with high upside? Okay. Hindsight is definitely 20/20

sure would and hes been all star caliber when he played over the duration of most of the season. But around here it's the what have you done for me lately attitude for quite a few people. For this team, the rockets aren't looking for young prospects with upside as harden's #2 guy. He needs guys that are established obviously. he has enough guys he plays with every night already that are still learning.
