Remember when like...3 weeks ago...some media guys were saying Harden had "too much help" compared to Westbrook?

    lmao

I have a heap of complaints about Harden as most of us do, but we are really lucky to have him. He could be god teir but he settles for all-star.

    TNT MVP discussion tonight

Shaq- Westbrook is unanimous MVP. Not even close
Kenny- Westbrook is MVP "right now"
Charles- neck & neck race between Harden/WB. Thinks Rockets are losing too much

One year it's best player on better team. One year it's a person that doesn't have any help. The next it's whatever they want it to be.

Funny how 2 years ago this was the exact comparison between Harden and Curry. Same Narrative but different view by media.

All because he's averaging 2 more rebounds than Harden. It makes no sense at all.

the love of the triple double bullshit stat. Its like if you actually presented the 2 rebound argument to them their heads would explode.

I do think WB took the edge from Harden these last couple of weeks though, the rockets have been on a real rough patch.

"The Rockets are losing too much", says Chuck about the team that is winning more than Westbrook's team.

    Here comes Isaiah Thomas!
    Kawhi Leonard!
    LeBron James!
    Choose any Warrior!
    Russell Westbrook!
    James Harden!

But really, 3-person race with RW, JH & IT.

Westbrook has a better team around him compare to what Harden has.

no he doesn't. I can't really believe I see this floating around. outside of oladipo who is at most a solid player, okc's roster is not that good.

to me, this is the weakest argument. if you look at any of the team rankings before the season started, most had the Thunder ranked higher than Houston. but now its the Thunder who have the lesser team therefore MVP should be WB. Man f that bullshat

OKC's roster is nothing special, but let's see...

Oladipo - above average 2 guard
Adams - Top 10 Center in the NBA
Kanter - Legit 6th man candidate. Also one of the best center's (offensively)
Roberson - One of the best defenders in the league
Sabonis - probably a top 10 rookie this year. Lottery pick.

Once again...nothing special, and not better than what we have, but to act like Westbrook is carrying a bunch of bums is silly. That roster is not *that* much worse than ours. And it shouldn't even matter given the fact that everybody gave Curry the nod over Harden despite a significantly better team.

I don't know man, Westbrook's supporting cast is garbage and the stats lay it out.

    On/Off

When Westbrook is on the floor, OKC is +4.5, when he is not on the floor, OKC are a staggering -11.5, for a net rating of +16 for WB

When Harden is on, Houston is +7.3, but when Harden is not on the floor, the Rockets are still +2.0, for a net rating of +5.3

Lets not pretend Sabonis hasn't been a piece of crap this year. Harden's team isn't a ton better, but it is better

    Ariza>>Roberson
    Bev>>>Payne
    Gordon=Oladipo
    Anderson=Kanter
    Capela<<Adams
    Nene>>Sabonis
    Harrell>Grant
    Brewer<Abrines

This is what I'm saying. They have some nice pieces. That's all. Not saying they're better than us, just not a bunch of scrubs.

other than the first 3 who are at least decent players in their own right. roberson who may be good defensively, completely sucks at everything else. And saying sabonis is a top 10 rookie in one of the weakest draft classes in history isn't saying much
