It's not worse. You're just backpedaling.

He admits to not caring that last year after #33 quit on the team. We were going no where, and it was probably the right thing to do for Francis-the-rookie and Cat for Rudy to turn that year into a development year.

Recall, Hakeem also quit on that team.

The promise was made for the season there was a strike. He failed to stay in shape during the strike and his ****** couldn't guard Stockton costing Hakeem a well deserved shot at finally taking down the Bulls in the NBA Finals.

    Hakeem quit on a quitter/loser.

Look what happened to the T Wolves when they got caught with the under the table agreement.

If Barkley truly wanted to screw the Rockets he would have exploited it back then. We would have lost drafts picks.

    Listen how stupid you sound.
Did you even watch the Rockets back then?

Think about this , is Barkley, our POWER FORWARD, suppose to guard Stockton, their POINT GUARD?

You need to rewatch... that ENTIRE SERIES

    Reinvent history much?

Now you're talking 1997. He was in perfectly fine shape in 1997. Stockton is not free if Malone doesn't bear-hug Drexler. Barkley was not on Stockton, and Stockton even had to pull-up 2-3 feet behind the line as Barkley was closing. Had nothing to do with anyone being out of shape on that play. Regardless, Drexler was taken out of the play, illegally. And it was a series we don't even play in without Barkley.

It's fine to hate the guy, but stop with the alt-facts, that I keep catching you in on each one of your posts in this thread.

    Kid,
you weren't alive when this happened. Stop trying.
That last year, Barkley blew out his knee which ended his career. That's why he played 20 games.

ROCKETS: Barkley injures knee, says career is over
    Sun | Sports

    Houston Chronicle — Dec 9th, 1999

PHILADELPHIA - The echoes from his standing ovations had barely died down. Charles Barkley could no longer hear them. In the quiet of the visitors' locker room, he wiped his tears, called his wife, Maureen, and simply said, "It's over."

Barkley's legendary NBA career came to a crashing end Wednesday in the city where it began.

I truly understand that newer Rockets fans hate Barkley for his TNT rants, I truly do.
But stop pretending you know what happened when he played here.

Leave that to the old people.

He could have left or demanded a trade.
    See Tracy McGrady's exit.

    But he didn't.

A great player, a winner, would have made the right play and realized Malone is not a threat from that distance and quickly saw the threat was Stockton. Guys like MJ and Hakeem, Kareem aka WINNERS, would have done more than this crap, lazy, out of shape defense.

Stop making excuses. HE ADMITTED HE CAME IN OUT OF SHAPE and only played like 20 games that season after a lockout season after not playing most of the season before due to injury. He came to Houston to win a ring, but all he cries about is money.

    Comparing one loser to another.

    Very fitting.

My advanced 99er cybernetics have concluded that this poster did not watch the Rockets play or might not have been born during those years.
He's one of the sensitive newer generation who dislikes Barkley for his takes on the Rockets.

    99er out

A REAL ROCKET FANS remembers that we were SWEPT by Seattle the year before.

I'm beginning to question your fandom. I already know your history is a failure.

You're a dick for posting that most hated play, just to make some argument. It's completely unnecessary. We all know that play.

You know Malone is fouling Drexler before the inbounds pass. That's a technical foul for free throws and the win.

It had nothing to do with anyone's poor defense. You really don't recall the bearhug and moving screen by Malone, even despite the no technical called, the illegality of that puts the offense at a great advantage on that play, with Barkley hesitating wondering why Drexler can't get around Malone. And you're going to say, "Well, we can't see it that clearly in that bad resolution video."

Plus, as I already said without needing you to post the video, Stockton shot it a yard back, because Barkley was closing. Stockton never shot that far back from the arc.

Barkley had the chance. If he was in shape like a winner he would have reacted and made the smart play. You can just see he wasn't even close to winning.

So he wasn't in shape and we beat Seattle and Shawn Kemp in the previous series?

You were not alive when this happened. Stop pretending.

Look , @heypartner and I don't pretend we were alive when Jesus walked the Earth. Stop pretending you were alive in the 90s.
