    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...n-over-criticism-outcome-yemen-raid/97687592/

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Thursday morning to attack John McCain following the Arizona senator’s criticism of the White House’s characterizing of a recent raid in Yemen as as a “huge success," despite the death of a Navy SEAL

Last week, WH Press Secretary Spicer reported that "w the death of a Navy SEAL, we can't really call the mission a total success, altho it was a success by all standards"

later, reports surfaced that the intended target of the raid had escaped, followed by videos showing the intended target mocking the US for not able to get him.

Yesterday McCain, the chairman of the Armed Services Committee and was briefed on the January strike after its completion, said to NBC News ."When you lose a $75 million airplane and, more importantly, an American life is lost and wounded I don't believe you can call it a success,”

Senator McCain has had a lot to say about Trump's actions since becoming president. Always outspoken, McCain has the courage to say what I suspect quite a few Republicans in Congress would like to say, but haven't just been re-elected to a new 6 year term. And Trump? Trump is such a baby. He's so thin skinned that it wouldn't surprise me if you could see his internal organs if he got undressed (yuck!). I was wondering when he'd go after McCain again.

The moment he said I like my people who weren't captured I thought that's it he is done. Yet here we are. Even had McCain support his presidential run until October. Nothing he says is shocking anymore. Why? Because if you keep saying ridiculous things then it just becomes the norm. Doublethink is the new norm. We have always been at war with Eastasia.

So, he made this comment after being briefed. We lose money and people all the time - but what do we get out of it. I would assume he knows what intel they got out of the raid, if any at all to make that comment.

ur doing a poor job spinning / rationalizing.

Americans lost $ and people in WW2, but we achieved our objective, defeating Japan and Hillter. that was a success.

Americans lost $ and people in missions where we did not achieve our objective; they include
    • the Viet Nam fiasco
    • Jimmy Carter's failed attempt to free the hostages in Iran
    • the Iraq invasion, under false pretenses by the inept W (13 years later, we still can't find the WMD)

99% of the time, one big success is evolved from tons of small failures. WW2 was not a slam dunk win.

It is nothing wrong to admit you could have small setbacks here and there, which could be equally valuable as long as you learn the lesson.

I don't see the need to inisit it or anything as a success until the job is done.

Yeah MCain is such a great man, who will probably vote with Trump 90% of the time. He gets to show his "courage" or "maverickness" as his gal Palin dubbed the two of them occasionally which plays well as Arizona get more Latinon and liberal.

I've lost a lot of respect for McCain as it seems he never saw a war he didn't want to get involved in but attacks on him like this are just typical, petty Trump. When you elect a fool don't be surprised to see him constantly acting like a fool.

Whether its Lewis or McCain they love to attack but think because they're a war hero or civil rights activist or did something
else 30-40 years ago they can't be attacked.

Sorry amigos. Trump is the most equal opportunity attacker ever.

Black, White, Rich, Poor, Man, Woman, Gay, Straight => You attack him and he'll fire right back!

A lot of these people feel they can provoke people then hide. Trump don't play that homies

I think McCain is a spotlight chaser and a gungho hawk that never had a war he didn't like.

Quite fitting he was responsible for giving the fbi the uncorroborated "golden showers" documents as his fixation to go to war with Russia will never die.

Given the **** choices, I'd choose trump over McCain to avoid a war in the next four years. If he does, that would actually be something unseen since before Reagan.

A more discernable action would be to avoid taking the media bait and choose neither.

    Thanks for Palin, McCain

Big difference. McCain criticized the mission. Trump called McCain a Loser. Stop trying to justify your idol's actions- even in Lewis' case, he was talking about Trump's presidential status, and Trump attacks the person. I could at least understand a bit Trump's response to Lewis- but you can't justify calling McCain a loser bc he critiqued a mission.

Trump attacks people that haven't even directly provoked him- and called a judge a so-called judge. Tell me something- is the problem that you are so far up Trump's ass that you can't even see what a turd he is? How about climbing down out of his ass and seeing as they really are? It could be refreshing for you.

This is so dumb: terrorists are equal opportunity attackers too. Do you give them and Trump "diversity points" or what?

    alternative facts.

his SOTUS nominee, according to several US Senators who have interviewed him, has characterized Trump's petty bullying tweets against judges as demoralizing.

Trump hasn't attacked the judge's criticism

That's right! Choose your words carefully or you could have a rage-tweet comin' your way! It might even have an exclamation point at the end!
