The exciting thing about ibaka would be we could run a true 5 out system for stretches.

If he's healthy this seems like a no brainer

Exactly, this is the best & most logical way to go.
You give up MH for SI all day.
Serg is what you hope Trez grows up to be.
This gives us the versatility to match up better with all the big boys and keep our offense philosophy

Ibaka is putting up the same gesture as the gal in @FTW Rockets FTW avatar.

I think this is a sign.

They both bring something different. If both healthy Jack is more of a playmaker and tougher and Mario is a 3 and d guy.
It's a wash to me cause they will be playing as much as Ennis is playing now

    I want ibaka

If we can truely get him for trez and our 1st round pick plus brewer/Kj/Ennis.

    You have to do it.

I don't know/think that's enough to get it done but it def makes us imo just as much of a favorite to reach the wcf with the Warriors as the Spurs.

    bev/chalmers
    Harden/Gordon
    Ariza/dekker
    Ibaka/Anderson
    Capela/nene

That's a strong 10 man rotation that I don't see why can't be as big threat to the Warriors as any team Cavs included.

Make it happen even if you have to include draft rights to foreign player and the the 2 second round picks.

Then we can really start talking about being similar to the Warriors championship team from 2 years ago.

I'd keep Brewer if it's possible. But the trade must happen.

Ibaka may, or may not be able to help us out, but this squad has it's own limitations. Our role players can only do so much, even by giving them time to grow.

the pipe dream scenario: The houston rockets trade for serge ibaka for corey brewer Montrezl harrel and a first round pick and we would have serge ibakas bird rights so we can go over the cap to resign him so we get a commitment from a player like gordon hayward in free agency but we would have to trade ariza to get close to max money sign hayward and ibaka. Then our starting line would be Harden-Bev-Hayward-ibaka-capela while dekker ryno and Ego destroy nba benches.

The only way i can see this happening if Houston also included Dekker. Magic gave just way too much to sell this low, even if he can walk, i' pretty sure there are more buyers with better offers.

Depends what management wants in a backup PG. I've heard that when Chalmers was in Memphis he was trying to become more of a playmaking PG. Also, I think they'd play more than what Ennis is getting. If we sign one of them we are a getting a quality PG.

Chalmers is coming off Achilles. He's not going to be good this soon. Simply not going to be able to turn it back on overnight. He needs until next season to be ready.
