Richard Hatch died from pancreatic cancer. He was 71. I loved this dude and his Apollo character in the original Battlestar Galactica. He and Starbuck were the sh_t back then on TV...leading a ragtag bunch toward Earth. Member when sci-fi was practically non-existent and this show led the way? Member? He also appeared in the 2004 updated version by Moore. He will be missed. RIP
I'm the only one who knows. I'm old and special. Yea...I remember when the Titanic sank and I was waiting on the Carpethia to dock in NY harbor. Poor Rose. Poor Lily.
RIP brother......... I hope you are driving your Survivor series, pimped out Pontiac Aztec in heaven.... shaking your butt for all the guys. #HUGS
I got you, Surfguy. That dude was awesome -- I never missed the O.B.G. (original Battlestar Galactica). Never watched Survivor or really any of that reality TV. Proud to have watched vintage TV with robots and ****.
God Speed good sir, Iove the original series so much as a kid. Him and Dirk Benedict were greatness back in the day. I was really impressed with his acting in the redux Battlestar, he was pretty great as Tom Zarak.
I once had a minor issue a long time ago with some parking garage security where I had to leave my contact info. I felt like I was on the unfair, wrong end of the situation so I left a fake name. I didn't want to use anyone's real name and I couldn't think of anything so I used Starbuck as my last name. LOL. The security guard read it and laughed. He knew what was up. I blame updawg. He told me to write a fake name! Sorry, Starbuck!!! It would be cool if there were people who showed up at his funeral wearing the colonial uniforms from the original BSG. I think Richard would like a send-off like that. I always loved those uniforms. Would be cool if some Cyclons came, too.
