The hyperbole is a lot to digest.

I'm not saying its not possible, but you're then suggesting that the Spurs totally whiffed on their analysis of Boban and he will be a multiple time All-Star in the NBA. That is what you are claiming.

Also, Boston says no. Two all-stars in the draft. Andre Drummond is not prying that pick away.

No. The Spurs didn't whiff on him. They had Gasol and Aldridge, both similar players. Boban is not better than them. They needed the variance of quickness at the 5 over the duplicative Boban. They went and got a guy I was pumping a couple years ago, Dedmond, paid him pittance and he's providing the contrast they need to Pau/Aldridge. Spurs couldn't afford to be stuck trying to generate a trade with Boban on a fresh deal.

These two guys aren't even on the same planet. I'll give you the opportunity here and now to say this was a silly attempt at trolling.

AND Drummond is 5 years younger than your boy Boban

Well, aside they got Gasol even the Spurs make wrong decisions sometimes, they gifted us Scola and i still cannot believe how they didn't keep him at that time...i also kinda remember Pop saying that he was pretty pissed to see how that turned out.

Boban is only slightly better than hezonja who is trash. How are you gonna harp "results matter" for Boban but say the opposite for hezonja? @basketballholic

Your the only "truest" basketball analyst that would admit, consider or even think Bojan is better than drummond

I don't understand your fascination with middling role playing prospects and disregard for true talent.

They aren't. Drummond is on the stupid planet. He's terrible. And he's the biggest reason why they are probably in the lottery.

I can't believe I didn't think of wanting Serge on this team, but it makes perfect, beautiful sense.

Imagine the PnR or PnP game with Harden. Imagine the rebounding, and interior defense. I love Ryno, but I would absolutely deal him in a heartbeat. I know we have pipe dreams of a trades that are suggested, but I absolutely pray Morey discusses something in the FO to consider this deal strongly.

Serge can run, shoot the 3, and defends. He would thrive playing in MDAs system.

When Orlando traded for Ibaka, I thought we might have interest, snagging him from the Magic; certainly OKC wouldn't have traded him to us directly (not for less than a king's ransom).

The first question is, How much would he cost in assets? The second question is, How much would it cost to keep him this summer? The third question is, If he's too expensive to keep, was the answer to the first question worth it?

Yeah, I guess it does come down to the first question. If we do acquire him, what kind of push can we make for the rest of the season and in the playoffs.

As for retaining, I am confident he would sign here. Harden would absolutely cajole him during offseason. It does come down to How much indeed.

But any deal for Ibaka this season must include Ryno. However, I do wonder if Ryno can be kept as an insurance for the offseason if we cannot afford Ibaka.

I would part with a first, a second, and a player in a trade for Serge. But his game makes too much sense for this team to not seriously consider.

This is the dumbest fuucking post I have ever seen. There is not a single basketball mind that would take and start boban over drummond.

Not a single coach, assistant coach, GM, scout, analyst, NBA player, child of NBA player, nothing. Not a single person.

Bobans own mother would bench boban in order to start drummond.

You lost all credibility and me as a listener.

I'm not suggesting Drummond is a guy I would want to build a team around, but you've got to be kidding me if you think Boban is better.

Respectfully, I challenge you to provide video which illustrates how Boban is better than Drummond for all of us.

The truth about the Detroit situation is that the absolute perfect fit at the 4 is Ryan Anderson. Absolutely perfect! However their team is garbage and theres nothing on it worth trading for.

    How about this 4-way:
    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zmrjhsk

Rockets in: Serge Ibaka (ORL) and Leandro Barbosa (PHX)
Rockets out: Corey Brewer, Sam Dekker, Tyler Ennis, K.J. McDaniels, 2nd round pick

Magic in: K.J. McDaniels/Sam Dekker/Tyler Ennis, 2nd round pick (HOU), Kelly Oubre Jr., 2nd round pick (WASH)
Magic out: Serge Ibaka, Jeff Green

Suns in: Corey Brewer (HOU), Andrew Nicholson/Tomas Satoransky(WASH)
Suns out: Leandro Barbosa, Alan Williams

Wizards in: Jeff Green (ORL), Alan Williams (PHX)
Wizards out: Kelly Oubre Jr., Andrew Nicholson, Tomas Satoransky, 2nd round pick

    Rockets new rotation:
    Harden/Barbosa/Brown
    PatBev/EG
    Ariza/Wiltjer
    Ibaka/Anderson/Harrell
    Capela/Nene

This will thin us out on wings, but sure us up on big men and guards. Magic might say no, but you can always give them more or better picks. D'Antoni will have lots of line-up flexablility.

    Small ball:
    PatBev
    Barbosa
    EG
    Harden
    Ibaka

    Big lineup:
    Harden
    Ariza
    Anderson
    Ibaka
    Capela

    3-ball:
    Harden
    EG
    Ariza
    Anderson
    Ibaka

    Defensive:
    Harden
    PatBev
    Ariza
    Ibaka
    Capela

You can have a very explosive bench unit of:
    Barbosa
    EG
    Wiltjer
    Anderson
    Nene

    Dude......do.your.own.research.

Here's a couple articles you can read though that explain in detail what I have seen in Drummond for a long time on both ends of the court.

By the way guys the guy that says I'm alone in my analysis. Nope. I'm not.

I would do that trade in a New York minute, not that I'm a big Casspi fan. Casspi would actually play, unlike K.J., and would give us depth we could use. He's on an expiring contract of just under $3 million. Sure, it's a small deal, but I could see it happening.
