This. Poor shot selection to pursue his own glory.

Steph is possibly the greatest 3 point shooter of all time and Durant is close to 7 ft. tall and quick for that height. I'm okay with Steph shooting that because that's his bread and butter and has a history of making those. Durant had Zach covering him. He is shorter and lacks the quick lateral movement to stick with Durant. If KD drives he gets fouled, gets a better shot than a contested 3, or passes out to an open shooter because of help D.

But it seems like Durant was supposed to set a pick for Curry but didn't. That's how Thea Warriors have played end of game previously. Steph handles and uses a big to use a pick and get a mismatch. It should have been Curry iso after a pick against Zbo.

There's also usually some movement underneath.

Also as mentioned Curry is the better 3 point shooter. And it was bad plays by both anyway.

The Curry Durant PnR should be deadly.

I don't think it was about ISO or not. It's probably about Durant not doing what they were supposed to run FOR THAT PLAY.

It's like if the last play of a football game was supposed to be play action QB keeper. But the RB instead of faking the hand off actually took the ball from the QB and ran with it. It doesn't matter whether the RB was a better runner than the QB. The play was not design for him to take the ball. He just decided to ignore the play and went hero ball.

Wrong. You seem to be the only one incorrect. If Durant vs. ZBo matters so much, why did he pull up for a 3? Your post makes 0 sense. The whole point of the mismatch is so Durant can get a great shot which he didn't. That pull up is something he could've gotten against any player on Memphis. Fail.

Warriors would've rather ran a play to get a great shot than an average/below-average shot that Durant took. One that potentially maybe involves moving the ball. You can't blame them for "giving up" on the play, but I'm not entirely sure what his teammates could've done other than crashing the offensive glass if Durant's intention all along was to take that shot. So I don't see how that's really giving up on the play. Your post was incorrect from top to bottom. Try again next time.

good job KD, please continue to disrupt their team ball, and bring hero ball to GSW, so we can take you guys down in the Western Conference finals easily

They have a right to be pissed . It's not so much that durant taking that shot on a mismatch is a bad idea ... It's that after he didn't get the shot he removed himself from the play .

He could have spotted up , he could have cut to the rim , he could have crashed the boards . He did none of those things , he called for the ball and when he didn't get it he practically went back on defense .

Can you imagine if Gordon had the ball and didn't give it to harden , so instead of being involved in the play he just started walking back on defense ... That's what happened .

It's even worse from Durante standpoint becuase the dude ( if he wanted to ) could go crash the board and have a great shot at getting the ball . He's 7ft tall , huge wingspan , still super athletic . KD Is a freak , too bad he's a little baby.

The second time Durant and Green got into a heated exchange this season...If they don't win the champion again, this summer will become interesting :)

I think draymond is jealous because he is now the 3rd or 4th on the team instead of 2nd or 3rd

Nothing to see here just 2 competitive guys' will to win. TBH I don't blame Green for chewing KD's ass out, I wish Hardens teammates did this to Harden once in a while. You can clearly see Green say "why would you pass me the ball there", he has a point, y would KD pass him the ball with less than a second left on the shot clock with 2 defenders around him. KD sometimes forgets he's in GS and not OKC and tries to play hero ball. With that said if GS doesn't win I can promise you that neither Green nor KD are going anywhere, if anyone is leaving it would be Curry or Klay. Klay would be traded for debt and Curry would sign elsewhere out of frustration but it doesn't look like he's frustrated so don't expect him to go anywhere either.

Kevin Durant is in a perfect situation. He needs someone to check him every once in a while. Draymond would do wonders for Harden's game.

IMO he is absolutely the motor that makes guys like Steph and Klay look like world beaters. Take him off that roster and they are toast.

So true. I didn't see anything but that play....but these guys play selfish ball sometimes, I wish we had somebody who could play this role for harden.
