Did anyone see it on ESPN last night? It was sweet. The most talented young players in the nation, all in one place, cheering and showing love to people they don't even know. I was VERY impressed with the top 2 dunkers, and not just because the winner was white either. The guy in 2nd place jumped with a foot on the foul line, switched hands in the air, and then punched it with TWO hands! It was amazing! But the winner, David Lee, won because he took his shirt off in the the middle of his own alley-oop.

Oh yeah, both guys (1st & 2nd place) were recruted by Florida.

James White was pretty spectacular, but i was very impressed by David Lee, he did 2 Isaih Rider between the leg dunks, one off an ally-oop. He also had an amazing behind the back pass to himself for the reverse jam. Not to mention a near-freethrow line dunk and Kenny Smith's bounce between the leg dunk. What was most impressive was the fact that he never missed a dunk, and most of them were very difficult. James White acted like a whiny b**** when he lost, prolly because that was the first time he lost a dunk contest. Overall, i think it was one of the best 2 men contests i've ever seen.

David Lee did not deserve to win.

The only reason he won was because he was white, and so little was expected of him, which is why his semi-good performance scored so high with the judges.

James White was far and away the best dunker.

David Lee just copied old dunks. The second between the legs dunk he did, he really didn't even slam it. It wasn't clean at all. The kenny smith jam has nothing to do with jumping ability, and everything to do with being a good lobber/passer, which David Lee was.

I was also not impressed by his take off the shirt dunk, that was just stupid, and his behind the back to himself jam wasn't impressive to me either.

O yea, and his "near free throw line" dunk was hardly that. He was VERY FAR in front of the line.

Wanna know why White was pissed? Because the judges screwed him over.

The behind the back dunk was a ripoff of a Ronald Curry dunk.

i dont care who he ripped off, it was a good dunk. but white should have won, the first free throw line dunk was the best dunk i have ever seen. it looked like half his body was above the rim at one point.

Well, Most of the people in the NBA contest were about a year removed from high school.

For all of you that want to see it again, there will be an encore showing on Tuesday the 10th. It is on rather late at night. Check your local tv guide listings for details [IMG]. Also, on the 9th will the the EA Sports Roundball Classic (which is basically just another McDonald's game).

    I am outraged.

White will become a better NBA player than Lee will ever be.
