Agree he shouldn't be doing this. He already gets a ton of flack for his "flops" and this is not the first time he has done this move. I don't like it at all. Gives them more ammunition becuase it is seen as a dirty play that could result in injury or something if MCW or anyones leg buckles.
Thank you Ariza for saving us on defense and Harden for using some mid-range in the 4th and OT. For the rest, not much praiseworthy. Glad they won for Yao though, glad he was retired tonight rather than against the Hawks. At least we showed some fight here.
.....The replay shows clear as day that MCW doesn't move back at all, in fact he actually takes a step forward.
I am very much appreciating seeing more "midrange" shots from Harden. Like seeing that variety. Gonna need it moving forward and in the playoffs.
you are joking. Remember when Ariza pump fakes and both Klay Thompson and Steph Curry almost died? Had Trevor Ariza jumped it would've ended badly but he realized what was happening and all he did was pumped fake and they caught themselves on a huge fall. those are plays that can hurt somebody. The play were harden slowly falls on someone's back are you kidding me man. he can fall on ty lawson and he will be ok momentum is key
My internet died just when the game was starting smh...watched it right now and wow, half time was special, i really miss guys like Yao, Shane. As for the game thank god we won this but even though James and Gordon had a great offensive game we still sucked bad, 70 points from this terrible Bulls team in the second half is demoralizing, MCW with the season high...we got lucky in the end of the 4th but yeah, another disheartening performance. Oh last thing, how in the ****ing hell Tony Brothers is still officiating after he decided to ignore the replay? ****ing disgusting.
lol that's a dirty foul? Having a guy literally box your legs out from under you? Sure. Why not. I'm not coming to a rockets fan forum to defend our superstar to idiots on obvious fouls. So. I hope it costs harden the MVP. The flagrant 1 was a pathetic call. Sure, James caught the dude with a bow...so if that's flagrant, then it's probably in the realm of flagrant fouls holding a guy's arm down to where it takes a swing to free his arm. Classic penalize the reaction type call. After that shameful 3rd quater where they put the bulls in the bonus with like 11 minutes left and that utterly pathetic replay, there's not a lot of b****ing Chicago gets to do about officiating. Oh and that's an obvious foul on MCW and a stupid one with 5 already.
Well, there was a replay that clearly showed that Ariza didn't kick the ball, but apparently he DID But, MCW DID take a small step forward, felt contact behind him and then proceeded to lower his body and drive himself backwards. Can't fault somebody for coming down on top of you if you are going for a body block
its a foul. usually, it happens when defender tries to hold off his man on rebounds, and then, goes too much down low, which isnt dangerous for defender, but for an offensive guy because it takes away landing spot. its called to make an bridge, and always pisses everybody of, because, in some sense, it makes the knees want to go in wrong direction, and thats a scary felling. only problem may be, its not a rebound situation. but kid is holding james with his left hand, so james loosen up his stand, and allow the kid to make a foul. its not a most macho-destroy-kill-woman-and -children move, but james isnt macho-destroy-kill-woman-and -children type of player. btw, i really needed this game. it doesnt look good that we had to go to overtime with falling apart team, with no star player, but i ll take it, and cherish it.
Oh there's no doubt the ball went off Ariza's hand, that's not even questionable. On the other hand, MCW doesn't have to give up his position, he takes a step forward and leans forward because Harden is pushing on him. He doesn't move from his position after taking a step forward until Harden is literally on his back. He couldn't hold Harden up so he went tumbling down. At no point was MCW trying to take Harden's legs out or push him, he was holding his ground and Harden went up on his back. It was a fortunate call for the Rockets after the horrid calls that Brothers had on us.
