Anyone ever consider that without a big we should put Harden in the post and invert the offense when opponents have a huge lane clogging big.... or should we just run 1-4 flat.
Harden is our only consistent scorer. I'd love to see him get more Alley-oops to Clint though. If you watch Harden on defense though, he is the one just standing around in the paint waiting for a rebound most of the time. You rarely see him doing much more than that.
"Love Yao Ming but not a Hall of Famer" - Jalen Rose Rose: It's unfair international prospects get graded on a curve. Billups: T-Mac, you're next!
James Harden is kind of an a-hole. Tonight, Les Alexander and the Houston Rockets organization retired Yao's number and put it up in the rafters. James response to this? Score more points than Yao ever scored in a game and if that wasn't enough, he gathered 2 more assists than Yao ever gathered in a game. Yao Ming Career High Points: 41 vs Hawks 2/22/2004 (This also happens to be one of George Washington's two birthdays) Career High Assists: 7 vs Hawks (same game) Career High 3pointers: 1 (2 occasions) James tonight: 42 points, 9 assists, 5 made threes, 1 jerk move Thank god James didn't try to beat Yao's turnover record too. We needed every bit of what Harden did.
It sure was nice to finally pull off a win in a close game. I hope we can get back into the groove after being in such a funk for what seems like a month. Go Rockets!
Want to hear a funny joke? Dallas and Portland are playing on ESPN right now because ESPN thought this would be a matchup between two contenders. They DO have more wins than us combined, but only 4 more.
Eh, even if they'd called a double foul, Carter-Williams still would've fouled out. And the Rockets got screwed by Tony Brothers on the kicked ball call. I really hope the recent struggles are in part due to fatigue cuz that means the team is due to bounce back this month. Last night's disaster still stings, but let's remember that they were up 20 with about 8 1/2 minutes to go. It's not like they're getting blown out of the building on a nightly basis. They just need to have a more consistent effort defensively and get a few of their shooters going. One thing to take comfort in is that they've already played 54 games after tonight. The Cavs are still at 48! So they're gonna get a lot more rest going forward whereas other teams will have to play more often.
it's crazy how 'ho-hum' we can be about james's performances. really credits to his greatness when i see this stat line and be like, "hmm yeah, looks like james had a good night".
It may sound crazy, but Dallas actually has a very good shot at that 8th seed. They're only 3 out at the moment and have played much better basketball lately.
If he can play like this in the playoffs when everyone is watching and it matters the most, we'll be comparing him to the greats. He's an unreal regular season player. This year, I think he's having a better season than Hakeem ever had. The difference is the playoffs. I'm ready for a Hargod playoff run so we can sing his praises.
Too bad TMac didn't learn a thing or two about trusting his teammates and working hard for you team from Yao. Dude was awesome, but just didn't 'get' winning. Yao did.
