Because 6 weeks defines the season? And recent memory doesn't recall the large amount of dig it out wins we've had this season? When we played great people didn't believe it. When we've been in our slump people think this is what we are.

Yeh, thats not it. 6 weeks may not define a season, but it may define the present. When the Rockets were playing really well, I absolutely believed in them, however during this recent time they have fallen on difficult times and expectations have been reassessed. I never thought they were a 60-win team, or up there with Cavs/Warriors, but I knew they were right on the next tier, and can obviously defeat anyone in the league.

Realism an pessimism are not the same thing, though. It may be a fine line to some, but I am far from a cynic, or a pessimist. You will rarely see me calling out future prophecies due to current games, but you'll definitely see me reacting to the present, and associating it with the recent past.
