This has to be one of the major flaws during Morey's tenure as a GM. Harden is already in his late 20s, it's not like we have a ton of time left, and we keep screwing up this roster with the likes of Dwight or Brewer. For once, get a competent second option, god damn it.
F**K you Tony Brothers. Crooked assed piece of shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttt!!!! Great win for the Rockets on this most special night!!!
in the last three seasons Ryan Anderson has only averaged 49 games. in his 8 years in the nba he has only averaged 60 games a season this season he has played 50/54 games I don't think his body is used to playing this many games. a good 4-5 day rest would go a long way for him.
I hope Michael Carter-Williams meets a nice girl with a hyphenated last name that wants to keep her name after they're married. Then they have a child named something like Alicia Oakley-Smith-Carter-Williams. And that beautiful little Alicia can grow up and meet another nice young man with four hyphenated last names as well and they have a child named Benjamin Oakley-Smith-Carter-Williams-Barkley-Cain-Morgan-Stanley. Ben will grow up to be a basketball player for the Rockets and Tony Brothers will be refereeing him one day and Ben will inadvertently elbow Tony Brothers in the nuts and he will have to quit his profession. Ben's last name will not be an arc on the jersey, like Carter-Williams, it will form a spiral.
I wouldn't bank on it. When had Morey made any big moves during the year? The best move he mad was the Prigs trade. This year he is strapped with terrible contracts and terrible players. I'm pretty positive this is the playoff rotation we will see.
Brewer did have a decent game...credit here. Glad to see us pull this one out. The disappointment is watching 4 guys standing around waiting for Harden to do something nearly ever possession. Just have to have another scorer...some help with paint pts. would be great.
What are you talking about? Eric Gordon career 3pt: 38% Ryan Anderson career 3pt: 38% Ariza career 3 pt: 35% Harden career 3 pt: 36% All these guys have historically shot 35%+ they're practically the definition of good and consistent 3 pt shooters. A contested 3 is better than an open mid range shot with percentages like these. 45-48? The Rox are projected to win 55-58 games this year, this is really just your pessimism and have no basis. If you watch the way modern defenses are now they guard the 3 pt line and crowd the paint, leaving the mid range area open. It's a trap to encourage people to launch more mid range shots. Mid range shots whether open or contested are still the hardest shots to make in basketball, they offer lots of risk but very little reward. So a dumb team that keeps taking these mid range shots because these are open and what the "defense is giving them" will lose every time just on offense and they have to make it up on defense. Since the Rox are crappy defensively, taking mid range shots over the long term will screw them over.
Sure looks like that is the case. I know he had the flu but goodness, I have seen heart by pass patients recover more quickly than Ryno. What's so draining about standing at the 3 point line or beyond and firing up a 3 ?
Tough grind it out win but I still feel teams have figured out how to defend us. Stay on the shooters and hope Harden fatigues himself or has an off-night. Also on offense drive into the paint at will since we got no rim protection.
