Predictably, no crowd to boo or cheer.

Dwight had a reputation before he joined the Rockets
    Unfortunately his reputation was real.
But I understand why he couldn't be a focal point .
    His post game was terrible.

People love to cite that post touches number.... 8.4 post touches per game... but with 3.4 offensive rebounds (let's assume his rebounds came in the post)... so he was given the ball 5 times a game in the post....
5 times for the guy who ranks #4 ALL TIME for FG%...

    look at the bigger picture...
26.7 front court touches per game last season...
which put him about 180th in the league...
again, for the guy who ranks #4 ALL TIME for fg%...

maybe YOU need to WAKE UP rather than just buying into the hate narrative...

Switching the discussion to "why would you boo Brewer, then" is the strawman argument.

You had already shifted it to Brewer, regardless of jbasket accepting it and going down your logic. You weren't following his logic at that point. You were continuing yours, because the discussion had been moved to Brewer by you.

So, he retroactive pulled out the Strawman argument card.

    :p

    WHATEVER HP. :)

Here's the thing. My original comment was about brewer and then I shifted AWAY from brewer and followed what he was saying about attitudes and stuff.
your right though he pulled strawman....not a strong way to argue I would say.

Unrelated, am I the only one who thinks the rockets are borderline unwatchable right now?!

@heypartner I didn't mean for this to be a prophetic post.......****!

First off, yes, the point is you should appreciate the candor when the action is the same. If your girlfriend cheated on you, but did not say anything in Scenario A; and then your girlfriend cheated on you, but admitted it afterwards in Scenario B, you should prefer the second scenario. I mean some people wouldn't, I guess, but I know I would and that was kind of Cat's point as well. We always complain about players giving BS comments, yet jump on him when he is honest? It was obvious everyone "quit" last year, not just Howard. I see Harden quit the MOST -- it is so obvious sometimes -- yet him not admitting it is better?

Second off, saying Dwight actually quitting the team, when Harden did not and came back stronger, is definitely over-simplifying it. From all the articles and comments given, sure seems Rockets did not want Howard back here. We'd take him for a steal, but Dwight even said Morey essentially told him they did not want to integrate him into our system the way he wanted. Was Dwight probably wrong in how he wanted to play? Sure, but I mean it is still the way he wants to play basketball...it was clear that we did not value him by season's end, at all. Heck, it was clear to me, much less Dwight. Harden? Other way around -- we paid the man EXTRA just to make him HAPPY. It is not the same situation.

Comparing their situations is very fair, comparing them as player is not. Understanding that difference requires a basic education, perhaps you should get one of those first.

Lmao what? Their situations are even less alike then the players.

It looks like everyone else has already ignored you. I guess I'll do the same.

Um, why don't you look at his post percentage instead? it's not that hard.

I think the fact that he was 180th in the league on front court touches pretty much says it all...

I am glad the crowd cheered during the video tribute for Dwight. People have a lot of hostility towards DH due to him leaving, but I for one am not mad at all. He was the best playoff performer for this team every year he was here (and I agree with Clutch that it wasnt really all that close).

He was the consummate pro, a great member of the city, and the falling out had less to do with him or his personality than with him being a bad fit in this offense. It is not his fault that he couldnt fit into this offense, and at the end of the day him leaving was mutually beneficial for both sides. Glad to see him leave but will never knock him.

The chemistry never worked out with Dwight and James, but Dwight did a lot of good things in our community. It actually made me sad that people booed him last night.

Wanting a bigger role & max money, and seeking a new place to get it? Then not getting it?

    That's not the same, really?

You do realize what he did at the deadline with the Milwaukee Buck trade denial, right?

Looks like you're a step behind in comprehension, I'll let it go though.
