Tony Romo just listed the Houston Texans as one of his his free agency destination. http://larrybrownsports.com/football/tony-romo-wishlist/348743
Did you click on the link they supposedly used as a source? I don't see anywhere in La Confora's article that he said Romo listed possible destinations. Except, he did it somewhere else and they didn't link it; sounds like false reporting.
Sure. All of those teams that picked those guys are likely further away from winning it all than the Texans... albeit the Broncos did just win one prior to Lynch.
Kaep was actually kinda decent last year, considering 49'ers had problems all over in all positions. He has some of the same Brock issues though. Not very accurate, shorter passes, not good against blitz. Doesnt toss many INTS, thought gets sacked a bit. A better team might do him good. Having him DURING last season woulda been okay. Having him as your main QB add isnt that exciting.
Ironically, that's the same simplistic and idiotic mindset that caused the Texans to avoid drafting another Carr.
If that's all there was to it, then you'd be sort of right. Unfortunately the ONLY reason to want to jump into the Jimmy G sweepstakes is QB desperation. The Pats are looking for a sucker and the Browns have already acknowledged that they'd like to be that sucker.....but some Texans fans blinded by QB desperation wish that the Texans could be that sucker instead. Now we've been over this before and if you end up as right about Jimmy G as I was about Derek Carr, then maybe we look back at this and say "damn, it sucks we didn't listen to you" but more than likely it'll be "wow, it's awesome that we didn't listen to you" as he becomes nothing more than yet another Cassel or Mallett....garbage that other teams were suckered into picking up.
