Typical shock jock stuff. I've been in and out of both airports dozens of times, and I've never seen a homeless person outside the terminal. Though maybe they're wandering out there now since they recently fenced them off from the runways because they kept getting sucked into the turbines.

I don't like Houston, either. Which is why I moved after living there most of my life.
But that said, I recognize what it is, and what it isn't.
This guy sounds like he's from the Northeast. And anyone from the Northeast complaining about how another city is a dump, has homeless people, or the like, is a moron.
I spent half a decade in the Northeast. The Northeast sucks.

Last Super Bowl it was Bill Simmons who slammed Htown. Both guys are probably pissed their employers put them in bad hotels because they are nobody's. This guy is a moron. He's suggesting we were guaranteed a SB because we built a "new" stadium, even though NRG is 15 years old and this is our second SB. Not to mention the Final Four coming here again and again. Houston is widely lauded as a great host city. This guy is just a toolbag.

 

I have no idea who that guy is. I obviously know who Boomer is but I had no idea he had a radio show. I'm watching the Dan Patrick show right now and they have a large audience. I didn't see anyone around those guys. Just a nobody and a has-been trying to get a reaction from no one.

 

Houston sucks for a few reasons but homelessness and construction aren't one of them.

Houston sucks because:
1. It's made up of a bunch of suburbs
2. You have to drive everywhere
3. There's nothing to do outdoors
4. When people ask for suggestions on what to do, people say go to The Galleria, name me one city where going to a ****ing mall is a top suggestion

 

I don't know who that guy is either. But, he's basically a troll. Just like a few posters on Clutchfans, he's just trying to say the dumbest and most offensive thing he can just to get noticed. He's succeeding on a small level to get noticed. But, it's usually the people with the least amount of talent that have to resort to such a strategy.

 

It's been very, very good. I can't find the article from the New York reporter but he gave Houston some much love for the food, refurbished city, etc.

Um, who still recommends The Galleria as a top destination these days? Perhaps to go check out the Waterwall and such, but there are so many more options now.

Houston is not a dump but is certainly a city with not much for tourists.

Me to my friends, relatives and family.

Me: You should come visit us in Houston during your vacations.
FRF: That's not a problem. But what can you show us around your city?
Me: I can take you to NASA, Kemah, some museums, some malls and **** loads of restaurants and bars.
FRF: Ok, let's see, we will let you know... (Translation: We're not wasting our vacation away in Houston)
