There was a play when we were going back on defense and Eric was completely lost, he was turning around ala Brewer and didn't even realize where the ball and his man were until Hardaway made the basket (a 3)...those last minutes were an absolute meltdown, way worse than the game against the Spurs.

What is the difference about this play as comparing to Dwight dunking all over Capela? sh'tting scrubs driving pass every Rox players on the floor all season long? Its actually a better option for the Rox than let them score inside the paint.
This was also bad coaching by MDA, no timeout to stop the momentum when Hardaway was clearly on fire, at least two times he should've stop the game and he didn't, no hack a Dwight was also a huge mistake imo. Also the last plays, the team was clearly mentally gone, stop the game and try to talk them, draw up a play...i feel like he just let them sunk.
why the hell you want to hack Dwight when you are ahead, no matter he can make his FT or not, the Rox can't run and the pathetic offense will be even worse. anyone arguing the Rox should hack Dwight just don't understand how this team plays.
I put it down to two things. Bad coachimg by DAntoni.. really could have used some timeouts to run some actual plays. One of our last possesions was just fizzing the ball around without anyone knowing what the hell was going on. The other is just not expecting Hardaway Jr to go off like that. Underscouted guy going into this game. All i all im still confident in the team. Most losses seem to be from a certain one off happening than rather that just being straight up bad.
This team's now lost 8 of their last 13 games... If Morey thinks everything will be just fine after the All star break, then he's in for a rude awakening, he needs to make some ****ing moves before the dead line.
Well, it's not like you're going to run if you don't play defense + the other team doesn't miss + even if they miss you can't get a freaking rebound...
A leader fixes that. We don't have one. James is talented. I do not question that. James is NOT a leader. He does not have the mentality. We need someone that is close to him in talent that has the leadership skills of Michael Jordan or Hakeem. Those guys didn't f*ck around and didn't let any of their team mates screw off. If James, at his current maturity level, is our leader. We are going no where.
Morey has absolutely no business trading any meaningful asset this year. The probability of winning it this year is too low with GS putting together a super team, the Spurs being the Spurs, and Cavaliers probably putting it together in time for the playoffs. It's simply not worth it. Ride the season out and go all in with free agent signings. Hayward, Hill, Redick... plenty of options to add more shooters and improve the starting lineup. Ariza and Beverley should not be starting for a title contender.
I never feel safe with Harden in the clutch because for every game in which he looks like a stone cold assassin, he's got one in which his balls shrink back up into his body. I see people complaining about Ariza trying to do too much in this game, but the reason he was trying too hard was because Harden wasn't doing anything. If Harden isn't going to assert himself and put the team on his back, someone else needs to do so (Ariza, unfortunately, is not a guy you want doing that).
This game just highlights the point of we MUST find another scorer/playmaker for this team. Waaaaay too many missed 3s. There comes a point when NOBODY is making their 3s, you have to be able it drive and score. I've been saying this since the 3s have stopped falling. We don't need a all star either, just a guy that is capable and consistent at it. I really hope Morey can see this and can find a good deal. It wasn't stopping Hardway Jr at the end that caused the loss to me, it was we settled for nothing but 3s for the last 5 minutes, except maybe one drive by Bev. Can't do that when the momentum is shifting and everybody has missed their 3s ALL NIGHT. DAYUUUM MAN, do something else. Basic basketball. Oh, unless you don't have the skillset to do it... We are not contenders with this roster, just a team that can get hot from the 3 every now and then.
This is exactly what they need to do ! I was mad at first but then I just reminded myself that the warriors are not gonna lose this year they are so stacked so in the end the Roxs are gonna be watching the finals from home. The good thing is they can go after free agents this summer and continue to add to what they've done this year.
