That's true but i also see a lot of contested and/or not in rythm 3s...the ball is not moving like it was few weeks ago imo, this is probably also why our defense is pretty pathetic.

I was having a couple of celebratory Southern Comforts on the Friday afternoon here in Sydney thanks to a Rockets game vs Dwight (where I thought the Rockets would put the bad stretch behind them and come out guns blazing) and a recent job offer. Practically bribed my friend into coming out with me to catch the game and have a couple of drinks. What an epic first experience he got of the Rockets. Now I'm heading home for a fair few Sailor Jerrys to heal this hurt.

Even though we had a great start to the season, the stink of last season hasn't gone away. You can see it when you realize that Morey basically can't make any significant improvements because he doesn't have trade assets to get another great player. There's no point complaining about it. Just enjoy the overachieving season and hope the team bounces back after the all-star break where the schedule should be easier and have more days off. I'll be happy just to win a playoff series. Morey should be able to do some work in the offseason in free agency, since that's really the only way he can improve the roster.

two problems. 1. our offense is totally one dimensional. Jacks up the most threes even though we are at best average shooting team. 2. our defense is non-existent. Capela is no rim protector; Ariza and Beverley can't contain anyone on the perimeter. At least Beverley hustles, Ariza is just mediocre at everything sans stealing the ball.
The reality is many many of us thought this team was a 45-48 win team. They are just falling back to the norm. They just got so hot we all lost sight of that.
Exactly while the dunk was flashy, the 3 point play layup was much worse. Capela and Gordon have to communicate and move those feet to make defensive rotations.
Paint defense is a problem but the perimeter defense is not better...and it starts there to be honest, when Ariza and Beverley get burned 7 times out of 10 and your best defender is Harden you can have Dream in the paint and you'll still suck...maybe.
Yeah, I hear you. Rockets are flawed WITH a good schedule too, TBH. Our overall interior-presence is subpar. The schedule and injuries haven't helped.... and MDA's piss poor rotations have been flat-out, dumb. Gordon and Anderson have missed multiple games, yet KJ still can't sniff the court?!! Tomorrow doesn't bode well either unless MIA just plays poorly. Hopefully the team gets good rest during the SB down-time. We need a another big, and KJ needs to play.
He's under 40% now. We only have a single player shooting above 40% (Anderson) now. Not good for a team that shoots nothing but threes at times. If Anderson shot 1 more three, we would've had 4 players in this game shoot double digit threes.
