So the rockets have succeeded expectations with their hot start, James harden moved to PG, mikes offense is working somewhat well, moreys idealogies is being used but as we've seen from our sudden drout here of late were still lacking. I don't think rockets make it in a series vs warriors or Spurs, their just to stacked. We'd defiantly give any team a run though.

I still think we're one Star/Playmaker away from ever catching a ring. Now with our cap and etc who do the rockets need to trade for or sign in free agency this summer to be a contender?

Obviously we have holes every where but I think we need to look at SF/SG ball dribbling playmakers

If possible I would make trades for Carmelo Anthony [dont kill me on that one], Paul George, jimmy butler, tyreke evans

We need somebody either this year or in the summer if we ever expect to win anything.

We've seen how Eric Gordan has made hardens life easier imagine just adding another shot creator/playmaker who can dribble and create

Now I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer or anything but morey seems to be a GM that's looking for a championship and I just don't think this squad as is going to do it.

It's a shame really because in a normal NBA the rockets squad might actually be top tier, but with fantasty teams like the warriors it's making everyone rethink how they can beat such a stacked team

We're a Dmo or Rubio away from being a championship team

pick a star, any star. wouldn't matter.

Edit: unless that player is wilson chandler, then we might as well hang the banner now...

Well it doesn't have to be a star, it can be a caliber player like Eric Gordan

i ve seen enough, and agree.
if corey brewer can take us to the 3rd best place in rs, one star could take us all the way.

i can stop thinking about last years can kicking, about durant.
now i see he s maybe even more than we need, but if then he chose a .500 team, and won championship, he would be regarded as god.

Oh really. You think another Gordon makes the Rockets a better team than the Warriors? You might want to take a look at that Warriors roster again.

Oh I don't think will ever have a better roster then warriors. Hell No team may never do that but I think we're a Eric Gordan or a star away from giving them a run for their money.

We did beat warriors once this year. With our 3 point philosophey and another great scorer I'd say we have a fighting chance

Kawhi is obviously not attainable, considering him and LeBron are the best fits for Harden.

Paul George is the next OBVIOUS fit next to Harden. Is he attainable? Yes. Do we have the assets?

    Hahahahahahaha

    No

So, we are really more than one play away from a championship.

I wonder if when you succeed expectations, do you get the upmost respect?

Wilson Chandler taking over Brewer's spot in the rotation would make the Rockets the second best team in the NBA.

Not really. As of now we have no chance. You had a great player you have a legitimate chance with harden

We need more shooting to beat GS that's why I would rather get Paul George over a big like cousins. (Although if cousins was on the table now you take him)

There's no defense that can stop GS. I don't care what scheme coach pop designs to try and stop GS it's just not going to work.

In order to have a chance against them you have to match there three point makes. It's a bad strategy but it's also more feasible than trying to build this great defense to stop them because that ain't happening.

The rockets are on the right track, the shooting is there when firing on all cylinders there just as hard to stop as the Warriors.

Paul George is the guy that can really elevate this team. The only thing is that in order for him to be the missing piece you still need to be able to retain Harden Gordon Anderson and Bev and I don't know how we pull that off.

George shoots 39% from three on 8 attempts and he's the focal point in a pretty average system. In ours playing next to harden he would shoot over 40% in sure. Not to mention he can play the Ariza defense role but much better.

I think we are one all-star shooting guard and a solid big role player away from a ring. That being said, Ariza needs to be replaced by a playmaker, better 3 point shooter and similar to better defensive skills. And a big that can solidly protect the paint and play the pick and roll as well.

Although I doubt we have the assets to get both needs.
