I think you're right about the civil war in Yemen. We're probably going to get drawn into it, something Obama largely avoided. Look for US support to increase dramatically. I'd rather it didn't. Personally, I think the Saudi's and the Gulf States brought a lot of this on themselves, and should have the ability to intervene there successfully, if that's what they want to do. They can certainly pay for it. Meanwhile, the misery in Yemen grows by the day and losses suffered by the Saudi coalition are reported to be substantial.

What better way to pay off our debt than other multi trillion dollar war.

I'm impressed how fished in conservatives are hooked into the lie...that elected republicans/libertarians/conservatives want to work towards deficit reduction because of the rhetoric for the last twenty years, a more efficient government would run contrary to their claims about big government running amuck and out of control.

Good governance has become an anathema to the loonies who want to blow it all up.

No one thought that Trump would lead to paying off debt, he was a lifelong big spending Democrat who just recently became a big spending Republican. There was never any reason to think he was going to be fiscally responsible. The only hope is that he won't be as bad as Obama was in that respect.

I partially agree . More to that:

-Yemen was and still among the poorest countries in the world , it's pre- existed conditions before the war as
50% of the population lived under poverty as of (2003)
-no country want to intervine, with topography harsher than Afghanistan, and social, tribal, religious ,ideology polarization worst than Iraq/Somalia
-it's the most armed country of the world per capita ,a true Republican Utopia
    - a decade ago ,the Saudi had built a wall to prevent smuggling of arms and drugs but when the civil war ignited and the take over by Houthiese militants began ,over 3millions refugees had already entered illegally ,(proven useless)
    - those Yamanis in Saudi Arabia are free to work, they are not like in refugee camps, they don't consider the hosting country as their enemy

    - Yemen source of survival for decades was based on humanitarian aid mainly provided by the Saudi , access to those in needs is blocked for the time being in most controlled area by the militants

    - it's possible to win a war as in Falujah style ,bombing every objects ,but no one want to have a victory this way
    - it's slow processs military campaign aimed to reduce civilian casualty
    - Like In Africans horns countries , starvation, shortage of water supply worsens with epidemic 'Khat' growth and addictions, it's the substance that unite all Yemenis

-btw , Houthies are SHIEA Zaidi, just like Ismaili ,a mild not offensives Shia sector, they're the apostates /opposites to the 12th sectors in Iran
-Imam Hamed Aladdin, the former ruler of Yemen and the prominent Zaidi leader was granted a Saudi diplomatic passport in exile , some of his children and grand children are living in Houston,Dallas area at least that was ithe case in 2000s, I had the chance to ask one of them over a dinner in Cheesecake Factory in Houston ,of how he feels if he had the chance of becoming the king of Yemen again ,he said " ***** no, not even for a million $ per day"

    - it's Inevitable war, you can't allow militants to have midrange ballistic missiles or fighter jets

Speak for yourself. You and your ilk are afraid of Muslims every damn day. You put the "terror" in terrorism. One thing plain to see: the anti-Muslim groups are cowards.

This is the natural result you borrow your foreign policy positions in Week 3 from a 10-year old Stephen Colbert routine...

I just noticed something. How does putting Iran on "notice" affects US standings with Russia? Russia and Iran are allies.

I just noticed something too. As of this new administration, we won't really have allies anymore. We will have nations that fully cower to our president and then a bunch of enemies. Fun times.

Iran & Russia are not allies. For the Russians, Iran is just a tool/leverage they can use against the US. When relationship is good with the US, they completely forget & ignore Iran, and Russian-US relationship soured they suddenly becomes chummy with Iran again. Just take a look at the Russian S-300 surface to air missile sale to Iran.

Something that is becomingly increasingly clear is that when Trump was saying we were over-extended internationally, he did not mean we fight in too many wars. He only meant we had too many allies. He's happy to take on more enemies.

And we thought the Necons under W were the big swinging dicks of impetuous foreign policy...how centrist and quaint they seem now. Granted, he hasn't gotten us into a shooting war yet but give it time. The ban will exacerbate the trouble of Islamic terrorism as many intelligence/foreign policy experts have already said and could very well end up with another attack that will give Trump reason to commit forces. Bannons stench is all over it--wag the dog.
