Bogut was acquired via trade, and then they gave him a fat contract to keep him. Barbosa and Livingston were free agent signings. Iggy was basically a free agent signing as well. They attached draft picks to ship out salaries to have space to sign him, then worked a S&T.

These are exactly my thoughts on both counts.

LeBron really hurt himself here IMO.

My bad not the Warriors, Durant. He ruined the NBA for the next couple of years. Yeah the regular season will be interesting but come playoff time no team can beat the warriors in 7 games. IMO. And comparing Lebron to Durant is not the same thing. Lebron joined a heat team that had won nothing in a while. Durant joined a 73 win team that beat his team in the playoffs and lost in game 7 of the finals. If lebron had gone to Boston or something the comparison mightve made more sense. Lebron also went back to Cleveland that did have drafted talent and then traded Wiggins for Love. Again, that team had won nothing and was full of very young players who were talented but didnt even make the playoffs with Kyrie as the best player or Love as Minnys best player. I see what you are trying to point out but its not the same thing. Durant joined a championship team that set a regular season win record with the 2 time NBA MVP. My point is for Barkley to call out Lebron for wanting JR freaking smith and Shumpert and then not call out Durant for his level of competitiveness is egregious. And to be honest, Lebron aint asking for Kawhi or Harden..they are apparently going after TJ Mcdonnel and Lance Stephenson.

One of those FA signings allows them to go small and won the Finals MVP (Iggy). They lost the 2016 Finals once Bogut got hurt. Free agency had a lot to do with their success.

fair enough, was just a bit confused about specifically the warriors ruining part. I think CB and the rest have all had their fair share of criticizing KD's move. It's just at the point now where it's no longer fresh or anything new. We're halfway through the season.

Popcorns indeed. LeBron and Barkley deserve each other. It's like watching a bully and a loudmouth clown swinging at each other in the school yard.

I don't know, a lot of players have been coming for Barkley lately, they're getting tired of his ****. He's not going anywhere but the same thing happened to Stephen A. Smith and his nba schedule was reduced, it happened to Chris Broussard and his credibility was so shot at espn he just one day showed up on the Herd and no one was surprised by it. So while I think there's a chance that in this Trump era this is the way the media will be treated, I don't think Barkley changes his tune or his approach, its what got him his new contract and we'll see if it pays off for ITN in the ratings column

Iggy is a big part of their team yes but again going back to the immediate core, which allows Iggy to play a role where he absolutely stepped up and played huge for them. Bogut was a minimal player in the playoffs last year. His role just gets smaller and smaller as more teams decide to play small ball. he wasn't the reason GS lost.

Don't mind Barkley's comments and don't mind Lebron's response to those comments.

Iggy is a part of their main core and Bogut was not a minimal player. He was an important part of their offense and their main rim protector. Free agency was a major part of how that team was built.

Yes bogut was a minimal player. He starts the games and then doesn't play anything over 20 mins if even that by the end. His role was minimal. Ezeli played just as well if not better than Bogut because he was more active and a better fit for how fast the game is being played, especially with more bigs playing out on the perimeter. Bogut was not a contributor particular towards the end of most of the games. That makes him a minimal player who was just a big body and did understand a role. As far as I'm concerned and what my main point originally was the main core is in fact Curry, Klay, DG, and Barnes who were all drafted and developed together along with everyone else around those 4 specifically.

Whats wrong with saying that? Lebron at this point will go down as one of the best players in history, he has a right to protect his legacy and not let washed up no name has beens like Barkley ruin it.

Lol there are just so many Lebron haters out there and most of it come from "old gen" who cant accept Lebron surpassing people like Bird, Magic, Kobe etc. so they invent all sorts of reason to hate on the guy. So if Lebron is concerned about his legacy its gag time but when other people like MJ talk about their legacy its ok? MJ has all this bs "Be like Mike", he even says comments like "I wanted to beat Magic not play with him" so where's the gag reflex there? I guess its fine for MJ to wax nostalgic about his past and throw shade on people minding their own business but Lebron has no right to defend himself against a total hypocrite like Barkley? The only guy who can criticize Lebron is hakeem, that guy got stuck with a lame ass team but still delivered the goods. Other people just need to stfu esp a guy like Barkley who did all the wrong things as a player but now sits on his high horse every night acting like he was the best ever when he played.

Lebron's right, as the golden boy of the NBA he's done his best to represent the sport and the league to the best of his abilities. He's been a model citizen both ON and OFF the court which is more than you can say about guys like Kobe or Barkley.

Bogut was the moving screen that made the Warriors' offense go.

Lebron got to the NBA finals twice on his own. MJ spent 9 years being cockblocked by pistons and he only won a ring because he got rodman, pippen, jackson and basically a team that can go to ECF on their own without him.

4 MVPs = soft. So you can be one of the greatest players of all time by being soft? What part of Lebron's game is soft, obviously you're just siding with Barkley because you think Lebron is arrogant.

Lol you call him soft but then wants him to continue taking the high road. What a joke
