Fake news - the liberals are unhinged and out of control

Yes this is not a Muslim ban. He has not fulfilled that campaign promise. He has also not yet done away with DACA applications and used that information to track down illegal aliens. We shall see what the future holds but relatively middle of the road administration so far.

 

I admit to being a bit concerned about where this particular order might lead, but I find the selective outrage a bit amusing. If someone here could lead me to their posts objecting to Obama's SIX MONTH ban on immigration from Iraq, I would be grateful.

Already responded to this multiple times. Obama targeted one specific country (Irag) after a clear terrorist action. Didn't create a list of countries, a few of which just be cause they are "war torn" (surprised war torn countries would have refuges?). And didn't clearly show his intention was to meet his previous statements about banning Muslims by adding a prioritization of Christians and other minority religions (in other words, targeting Muslims).

So... not similar.

Holding visa requests for 6 months for one country is different than banning all citizens (except "religious minorities") from 7 countries and preventing those with visas, green cards, and even dual citizens from entering the US.

I know you're frustrated, but from someone who is on your "team" for lack of a more productive term, check yourself. (1) is completely counterproductive and only feeds the flames. I think the ad hom was not cool.
(2) I agree it seems people are doing everything to excuse each step, but it's more because of their long frustration with point #1, IMHO, and less about the facts.

A lot of conservatives are rightly getting worried about Trump/Bannon, and staying as calm as possible can help everyone talk. Cheers.

One of the problems with my generation in this country is that too many people have put their head in the sand because they can't be bothered to say anything. Meanwhile, the outspoken party that is: against science; appointed a white supremacist into one of the most influential roles in the world; targets people based on race and religion, runs free to spout whatever twisted reality they want.
