If we win tomorrow in Indiana then we would salvage a 3-2 road record (60.0%) on this 5 game swing. That's not a bad way to look at it.
Feel free to criticize Harden when the Rockets lose; but don't only criticize Harden... which is what you do. Also be aware that the Rockets would be in the basement without Harden.
Relax. These guys haven't forgotten how to play, they're simply worn out physically. Just enough to throw off their games and their concentration a tiny bit, but at this level of play, that's enough. Games played so far this season: 41 - 1 team (Guess who? Yep, that's us.) 40 - 1 team 39 - 3 teams 38 - 9 teams 37 - 11 teams 36 - 4 teams 35 - 1 team My points: * We have played more games so far than ANY other team in the NBA. * We've played 3 or 4 more games than 2/3 of the teams in the league. So we won't be winning 60 games. We'll be ready to roll in the playoffs. Especially if DM can find us a strong rebounding big.
Something else to consider, schedule-wise. Here are the road games each team has played as of right now: 19 - Philadelphia 20 - Cleveland 21 - New Orleans 22 - Washington, Milwaukee, Minnesota 23 - Brooklyn, Indiana, Chicago, Charlotte, Toronto, Golden State, Utah, Denver 24 - Clippers, Boston, Atlanta, Memphis, Dallas 25 - Phoenix, Detroit, New York, Miami, San Antonio Spurs 26 - Orlando, Oklahoma City, Portland, Sacramento, Lakers 27 - nobody 28 - nobody 29 - HOUSTON Really, for us to have the 4th best record in the league right now is a minor miracle. The flip side of all this is that after the All-Star break, we'll have fewer road games and fewer games overall than EVERY OTHER TEAM. We'll be the most well-rested team going into the playoffs. We'll be fine.
