Props to TJones and Dmo for playing well.

TJones has been quietly having a good bounce back season and will be in line to make a lot of money in 2018 if he keeps this up.

Dmo has now put in a couple good games despite limited and sporadic minutes. If he can avoid injuries, play more minutes and continue to perform, he might actually come to thank his lucky star he didn't get the Rockets or Nets contract.

Yeah, that is true, if he can get up to 20+ minutes and continue to play well and stay injury free, he should be in line for a good sized contract this offseason...

In the end, he should have just signed the QO and played in Houston - but that ship has sailed.

If he increases his market value a lot, he'll get a hefty contract from a bad-to-average team. And if he doesn't, I can still easily imagine a team like the Spurs picking him up on a cheaper deal. He'd fit right in into that system, since he does everything Pop wants out of a player.

I've been trying to figure out Gentry's rotation regarding Davis, Cunningham, TJ and DMo. Who plays the most with Davis? And how often are TJ and DMo on the court together. Seemed like TJ/DMo were on the court together some last night, but TJ was checking in for Davis.

Nice theory, but we should add that the Spurs were not mentioned as an interested party when DMo was being shopped around on a min contract just a few weeks ago.

It is bizzare, Dmo at first was coming in for Davis, and TJ for Cunningham. I think they are still figuring it out, Dmo and TJones play well together - and both play well with Davis....IMHO, Cunningham is not that good and probably should be on the bench.

And for a good reason, they have an excellent FO that wouldn't take such reckless gambles during the season when they have an excellent record, top5 offense and top5 defense. But I'm pretty sure they're aware of all the possibilities regarding FAs and this is the perfect chance for them (and the rest of the league for that matter) to find out whether DMo is fine physically or not, and whether he can still play NBA level basketball after such a long break.

This pretty much. Cunningham is the odd man out but he's a hard worker and seems like a good teammate. Brewer for Cunningham. Get it done Maury!

Brewer misses DMo. That's why he's playing so crappy.

So T _ ones who should be out of the league by now >>>> DMo who should be a starter for a contending team

They are both good players always have been. Are they superstars? Nope but they are good solid NBA players.

DMo because he is left handed, skilled in the post which is a mismatch every single night, and he is a better 3pt shooter and positional defender.

    Terrence Jones is left-handed, too.

Yes a good point, but DMo was a better team defender, and TJones a better ball handler. Honestly, would be happy to have either of them on this years team.
