Refugees from Syria already have to undergo a crazy detailed vetting process. It can take 2 years to complete the process. They have to provide evidence and documentation of their birth, residences, work history, education etc. They are checked DHS, FBI, The State Department Their background including connections to any possible terror groups are investigated. They have Iris scans, fingerprinting, etc. All of the checking is done again should it turn out they used a different name, phone number etc. at any point. They are interviewed by trained USCIS officers. They can interviewed multiple times if any new information is uncovered during the process. They go through medical screening. They are mandated to attend cultural orientation classes They go through border protection and TSA searches They are required to apply for a Green Card within 1 year which then involves it's own vetting process. https://obamawhitehouse.archives.go...screening-process-refugee-entry-united-states So for those that don't think the vetting process is sufficient, what changes to it would you like to see?
Irrelevant post since this is not what happened! You liberals are unhinged. Take a break and gather yourselves.
Bigtexxx is just a troll. He selectively responds and then acts like he wins arguments. If you're a true champ, respond to everyone attacking you, if not, don't bother posting.
meh, the idea that a temporary ban on entry from a half dozen countries where jihadis operate is going to be unpopular is... dubious not sure how effective it will be, but not losing any sleep over it, as if it's the dawn of fascism or something
I would dare say that the majority of terrorism perpetrated within the United States within the last 17 years has been domestic. Hell, go back further and I bet it's skewed even more so towards domestic. How will Trump address that? #banamericans
do people think sob stories about refugees are an effective counter-argument? the issue is not refugees, it's jihadis entering with refugees
I'm curious as to what the first part is about. I'm also curious as to whether he felt threatened or sad by the guy getting quiet, and if he felt threatened, how much the experiences in the war shaped that.
When is the last time that has happened commodore? I don't think it has ever happened. Quit worrying about problems that don't exist.
How many have there been recently? How any of the terrorist attacks have been carried out by refugees? I bet it's more that have been carried out by people that have been here for three years plus. The biggest issue this country is facing is from citizens being converted into perverted radical Islamic terrorists. The one big advantage the United States has is that we're thousands of thousands of miles away from those places and we're not landlocked. It takes some doing to get here. Once you're here, the getting process was quite intensive. Definitely adequate. What Trump should do, instead of playing this idiotic card, is step up virtual defenses, seeing as to how that would help immensely in the changing world the next four years will bring. But, as we've all seen and know, Trump is a temper trantrum throwing baby, who has power now, for whatever reason, who just feeds off unrealistic fears that a certain minority of the country has. It's sad, really. Maybe this will get him impeached. It'd be quite awesome if he didn't last 100 days. This guy is dangerous. Extremely dangerous.
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/c...es-targeted-by-immigration-ban-cant-enter-u-s Canadians holding dual citizenship with countries targeted by immigration ban can’t enter U.S. How would our border patrol even be able to enforce this? A Canadian passport means all the rights of a Canadian citizen. This 'ban' is a international embarrassment, although I know well that there are Americans some here (and even on the BBS) who are walking with an extra pep in their step because residents of certain Muslim predominant countries are banned.
