Anthony to Clips deal possible as they are trying to find a 3rd team for Crawford. Crawford would look really good in a Rockets uniform coming in instead of Brewer. And all it would cost us is bottom talent and a low pick as Houston would absorb his contract.
Look at Crawford's percentages, look at his age and then look at the $$$$ left on his contract. Would much rather keep Brewer if that is the return.

Yep but it's still an albatross contract (i'd say one of the 3 worst contracts in the league as today) for a guy that is basically done and bad overall.
If he was a final piece kind of player to secure the bench then the cost for one year wouldn't bother me. But since the Rockets are still one major piece away from contending for the title I am inclined to agree with you.

Perhaps in Anderson's 2nd season if a true superstar like Durant becomes available, but these extreme scenarios notwithstanding still don't see Morey sabotaging his FA marketing plan by ditching players who voluntarily came to Houston, for less than market price to boot.
Fair enough. Its a double edged sword though with how well Harden is playing this season. Can afford for him to regress again next season (or be looked at like he was last season) where no one wants to come and we end up with second string players like Gordon and Anderson (as much as we lucked out with how their playing).

Call me crazy, but I'd love to add D. Wade if Chicago's implostion leads to a fire sale. Have him take every last one of brewer's minutes and stagger it so so both Wade and EG stay healthy/fresh.
