I had to work and just finished the game but seriously I think this team just rode a high for a few months and have finally come down to earth. I know Ryno has been sick but damn he's been bad the last two games and Ego well he's out with an injury tonight but is anyone surprised?

 

Seems like Dekker was escalating the situation. How can you be a leader and have some snot nosed rookie talking crap to you?

Dekker is basically a rookie and hasn't done sh** yet

It seems teams around the league are learning that the Rockets are poor defending the paint and so they are attacking the rim a lot. Even a team like Boston that is not high on paint points attacked the rim a lot against us. The main difference between December and January is on the defensive end, a lot of teams playing us recently are shooting over 50%. Secondary to that our rebounding has been disappointing.

 

Team looks just awful this month. I'm staring to think they just got lucky with the hot start and this really is just a 45-50 win team that just caught fire.

I think Greg Popovich knew what he was doing because the Rockets we're right behind them in the division race and for second place.

Harden yelling at Dekker like that is absolutely uncalled for.. especially when he was a major reason why they lost this game with his refusal to attack the rim and settling and bricking pull up 3's all game, 7 TO's, and showing no defensive effort. If anything he should've waited until they got to the locker room is he wanted to yell at his team mate like that. He's been great this season overall but tonight was a low point for him and the team

 

Seriously, who's going to want to play with Harden with that attitude? A turnover machine who plays zero defense, yet somehow he's the first one to point fingers at his teammates when things go wrong. Despicable.

Not only is Harden bad on D lately, I mean catatonic overall, but Dekker's missed rotations are common, he is like watching Tjones out there on D, just asleep all the time and not sliding into position.

First of all we need to add anothet playmaker... everyone is doing too much hence causing frustration. Harden and Dekker are equally right.

You came to the wrong forum.

 

Sorry I just don't agree. He harasses his man with on ball defense but his off the ball defense was bad. Got lost on screens, kept sitting in the paint for rebounds, just bad.

It's not all on him obviously. The team defense is a joke. Teams moving the ball and screening gets us spinning like tops.

 

Harden still needs to lead better by example before he commands respect. You can never say Dekker doesn't hustle. Can't say the same about Harden. Have no problem with Dekker not backing down in that situation.
