They were never "real" contenders. They certainly have regressed from "one of the best teams in the league", though. They went from caring about defense and a were a great 3 point shooting team to not caring about defense and are now a bad 3 point shooting team. They need the All Star Break badly to regroup.

Not only that but Harden is one or two more bad games and meltdowns away from permanently destroying the locker room. Getting into shouting matches with Dekker and verbally abusing Ryno at the end of the game... That being said yeah. **** the Mavs. Trash ass team.

Guys going in and out of the lineup all month doesn't help. I think fans should settle down right now. If you told anyone here we'd be 3rd in the west with a top 5 record in the league every single fan would take that. The funk we are in sucks, Harden is settling far too much maybe because fatigue or what...but this season has been tremendous and we have to know that this team can play a lot better than it has this month.
We go as a far as Gordon can take us. If we don't have his scoring, Rockets don't win. He's the bailout.

They were never contenders. We just got red hot starting by beating golden state in their house and then going what. 20 And 2. At that point we all started gett raging boners thinking maybe just maybe we were wrong and this was an elite team. Now their true colors are showing and we are dissapointed. It's natural. But going into this season we never belonged 20 games over 500 so we shouldn't act like this is the end of the world. End of the world came when ever we thought Ryan ANDERSON and eric Gordon made us contenders. Sure, when those two are lighting it up along with bev and ariza we can beat anyone but it would appear they all blew their nut Early and now they are nothing but a flaccid stack of dimes.
