Crowd sizes were never an issue for the MSM during the Hillary campaign....she had to pay for people to show up. DC is a liberal nesting ground with more than 90% voting for Clinton. Trump inspite of that had a very decent attendance, regardless of the attempts by MSM to diminish the moment. What exactly was the purpose of comparing the crowds between the first elected black president in 2009 to a white billionaire in the first place?

As already been said a few times, other than an interesting footnote in history (somewhat fewer people attended Trumps inauguration than his predecessor's), the story would have slipped quickly past the Friday or weekend news cycle until Trump and his spokespeople made it a significant news story through lying, er, "alternative fact telling". First on Saturday, in the most inappropriate of venue (at the CIA memorial wall, where he also presented "alternative fact telling" about the media and his own statements against the CIA), then pushing his press secretary to "alternative fact telling" in the most embarrassing press conference, and then once again having other spokespeople continue the charade on Sunday morning news shows.

So this latest effort to "alternative fact tell", spinning this as a "the crowd size story is the creating of the MSM" is yet another misguided effort to shift the blame and continues to drag this story on. The dragging in of Clinton into the story shows just how bad this looks to the Trump supporters. If yall can't admit a mistake and tell lies over something so insignificant, how can anyone believe anything when its important. Or is that the point?

You're absolutely correct. It shouldn't be a big deal. It should be as small of a deal as the actual crowd size was. However, the president is such a baby that has to be given trophies at every turn to be happy, he made it a big deal by lying about it in his first 24 hours on the job. Then his press secretary threw a hissy fit and continued to lie about it in the press room. It was only topped off by Skeletora going on the Sunday shows and furthering the lies by not owning up to it and not answering any of the questions...and then saying Spicer used "alternative facts".

    Strategery at it's finest.

The opposite wall from the memorial stars in the lobby, carved in marble that trump was facing: "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free". This while he starts riffing on the media and then lies to the collected CIA staffers that it was the media that created the rift between him and the CIA, not his actual, on the record statements bashing them. No amount of truth can cut through such shockingly beautiful audacity from the highest office in the land.

What's the next press conference going to address? That a 5-year old in Tennessee called Trump a poo-poo face?

This is actually a minor point in the grand scheme of things. I am still willing to see what he actually does before I totally write him off for the next four years, even though he is off to a not so glorious start. I have a question for all the Trump supporters, is there a point where you would say, enough is enough and this is too far?

Saw the "alternative facts" interview by Conway on Headline News this morning. I could not believe the crap Trump's people are trying to feed us.

This presidency is obviously setting the precedent for lying for the next four years by twisting "facts" in their favor.

They might as well replace Spicer since he is already tainted. He sounds like a sniveling weasel.

This whole thing already feels like a "Celebrity President" episode.

It's one thing to make claims that the media is out to sink Trump making him look bad. But, it's an entirely other thing to take facts and then present "alternative facts" to the press and US people with a straight face as some kind of defense tactic against media criticism.

The media didn't make it an issue, Trump did.

So there you have it, CF.net full of morally superior, sanctimonious, liars, and apparently perfect human beings. Ya'll are lucky you don't live in the public eye with all the crap ya'll have posted, liked, quoted just on CF.net which is family pg anyway. One game thread would have all of ya'll under grand jury investigation and one Hangout thread would surely have ya'll impeached. Just not lest ye be judged m'fers.

I keep waiting for this group to change but maybe it will not happen, I want it to for the sake of the country but all this nonsense and its not even a full week into it. The Conway interview was a joke, does she really believe the rhetoric that comes out of her mouth.

You're one of the more reasonable and smartest posters in D&D so I'll remind you that Trump and all of his businesses are mostly brand licensing. So what do you think is the most important aspect of brand licensing. Exactly.

Most folks here(idiots) are forgetting that the man himself (his name) represents a brand which for 40+ years his entire livelihood is based on. That said, what we are seeing is that Trump is trying to protect his brand, his livelihood like any other reasonable person would. His transition now is that he has to realize his job is to protect the country more than protect his brand. I think he could do both but he has to start with country first and brand later. But I challenge any of you to stop doing something so integral to your life that you've been doing for 40+ years immediately.

WTF is wrong with you? You stated that a video of Trump bragging about grabbing random women by the genitals somehow "humanizes" him and then you throw a hissy fit when you get called out for the absurdity of what you're saying. You've quickly become one of the worst posters in the D&D, and that's saying a lot.

And you've become one of the most TRIGGERED!!! I can only say, the lack of reason and logic in D&D is at an all time high.

This is actually a quality post (so there for I will ignore your take on the bus comments. Normal grown ups do not make those statements).

While I agree that he might also be protecting his brand. That is a real problem. Since I do not expect that he can change.

That being said I think he is just a narcist and this is just his reaction.

A fitting response for a dumpster fire of a poster like yourself. But please, tell us more about how you don't support Donald Trump while defending literally everything the guy does, I'm so interested in your logical and reasoned opinion.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but this bears repeating: wouldn't it be nice if the president was enough of a basically secure adult, that he felt the same way?

Actually no, it wouldn't. I'm fine with anything I've posted here.

You are on a strange tangent.

Nobody is saying people have to be perfect. But when people make mistakes, it isn't wrong to call them out on it.

Nowhere on this board or anywhere else did I like something or post something applauding sexual assault. That is a level of transgression beyond profane language and subject matter.

It is very odd that you claim to have participated in conversations bragging about sexual assault, and think it is normal.
