Because Hillary would have been a third term for Obama who WAS (thankfully that is now past tense) one of the worst Presidents in history. Trumps agenda that he ran on will be good for the country if he fulfills it. Heck just the SCOTUS implications made Trump the only choice. If Hillary would have won the court would have tilted to the left and would piss all over the Constitution legislating from the bench.

We don't know what rights Hillary's picks would have limited. We know that according to Trump his nominees would remove a woman's right to choose, remove same sex couple's right to marry, etc. So the rights would be more greatly reduced under Trump.

We know that Trump has advocated an immigration policy which has already been found unconstitutional. So we know that according to his platform he would further restrict rights associated with our constitution.

About 75% of the Republicans I know didn't vote for Trump. At least that's what they tell me, along with some choice words aimed at Mr. Trump. It's weird. I didn't hear that from them when W. was running for president, or McCain. Anyone else experience this? I happen to know a lot of Republicans because my significant other was a state executive for decades, and had to work with/for them the entire time. She helped run an important legislative commission (she didn't work for the governor or an agency, thank god), so we still get invited to parties and the like. I avoid as many as I can. She goes because she has a consulting business, so I get a lot of feedback. The intelligent GOP members of the Lege are getting outnumbered by the dumb asses. It's rather depressing. Didn't use to be nearly as bad as it is now. Speaker Straus is practically a dinosaur.
