Just run the ball every play with him and Lamar? http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...w-york-giants-tampa-buccaneers-houston-texans
Up the middle? If he takes a paycut, yes, but we have a crappy o-line and I think people would stack the box with our QB situation. Plus we are not sure if Mcnair wants to take on his off-field "issues"
Get him to use as a decoy, but the asking price is not worth it unless he gets paid lower than Lamar Miller.
I'm not convinced AP is done as a feature back. Him and Lamar would be a dominant thunder and lightning combo, and regardless of who our QB is could have a solid offense with Deandre and Fuller and Miller with another year under their belts. Really need to shore up OL though, probably through draft. Not saying its likely, but I was surprised to see Texans listed. Its intriguing
He is one year removed from a 1485 yards season with 11 touchdowns on 4.5 ypc and missed the entirety of last year too injury. And 3 years ago only maybe? He was arguably the best RB at that time. I don't get why this sub always scoffs at options that are more like pipe-dreams.
I'm all for adding AP if the price is right. He may be washed up, but a washed up AP is still a better option than any other back we have. Miller showed this year that he'd benefit from some sort of a committee, for durability sake.
AP is not what he use to be but for a low amount I wouldn't mind him splitting carries with Miller. Miller breaks zero tackles. Touch him and he's down.
Lol, AP would instantly be our best running back. Yes, he's old, but he's still a beast, for at least one or two more years. Splitting time with Lamar would help keep him healthy.
Nobody finds it funny that Houston is the backdrop on the green screen? Yes, I know he lives in Houston, but that seems like the ultimate "peace out Minnesota" if you ask me.
Agreed with the Thunder and Lightning and upgrading the o-line. He has Houston ties with his son and BM, I believe. His list comes from his own preferences, not necessarily the Texans'. McNair likely won't touch him due to non-football reasons. I hope Martin performs and has a healthy career. And definitely look to draft a OL within the first two rounds
I'm not sure about that. You're telling me a guy who grew up in small town North Carolina in the 40's is going to freak out about someone spanking their kid? I kind of doubt that a lot. Hell, he may see it as a good thing.
