Oops. Forgot to type text. The arena was originally for the Red Wings before the Pistons decided they wanted to join in. Little Cesar's owner guy is the owner of the Red Wings (and Tigers). But how cool is it that all the arenas are in downtown.
WOW I just saw what the Warriors did for their groundbreaking. Cranes doing sychonized dance to the blue Danube waltz???? Dancers dressed as constructions workers doing acrobatics and throwing red cones in the middle of the crowd in the sound of..claps? WTF is wrong with them. It's like a parody of a groundbreaking. Look at this:
I have watched the crane waltz about 10 times and still can't ...understand how it's possible that a serious organisation/company did that for real. If it was a comedy sketch I would believe it.
We got a Japanese vehicle manufacturer logo on the roof of our building what's the big deal? At least with Lil Ceasers they can't price gouge you on concessions, "Nah dude, the commercial said a hot and ready is five dollars". No such luck with your $12 burger and fries at Jack Daniels grill
The pizza is five ****ing dollars!!! That's what a ground breaking looks like when you have a gay owner. Not down talking gays, I think that stuff is unnecessarily creative. If it was me, I'd just have some shovels, pick axes and hard hats, maybe some semi-tough looking guys standing off to the side, so people know I'm bs-ing in a pin-stripped suit but those stereotypical looking construction workers will do all the real work. Of course I'd want to ride in on a motorcycle convoy so we'd need some motorcyclist just for the occasion. Maybe some cops for security purposes and in the name of unity an a man dressed as a native would be nice, and you can't have an Indian without a cowboy...
ah lol you see when you see a logo in the Pistons arena I only see a cartoon of a caveman. This little ceasar's company and brand seems to have failed to expand much worldwide The opposite is with the name. Ppl here seem to find it funny but to me Little Ceasar's arena sounds a perfect name. One of the best in the league . But the problem remains that it has a caveman in the roof.
I don't post that much anymore so I may have missed it, but I found this kinda amusing. https://www.si.com/nba/2019/03/11/klay-thompson-golden-state-warriors-fans-lack-energy https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...ls-out-warriors-fans-oracle-arena/3127356002/ "So it's ugly but ... I expect our crowd to be little more into it, too," said Thompson, who scored 28 points against Phoenix. "Like, I know it's not the playoffs, but it is our last go-around at Oracle. Least you can stand up or something when we make a good play, especially in the beginning. We need that energy, especially this time of the year. It's hard to conjure up energy every single night 'cause you're looking forward to the playoffs and that run." "So we expect our fans to kind of bring that from the jump. ... It's like us, though. You can't bring it every night, but still it helps. ... It doesn't matter if we're playing the Suns or the Bucks, whoever it is. We need that energy from them because we feed off that." I have respect for the OG warrior fans who came out to Oracle back in the Baron Davis days. Those were true fans. You can see and feel the real fans. It felt real. When they started winning and George Lopez, and Denzels start showing up, that's when it was doomed. The real fans got priced out and all these "I need to live Instagram it, and Snapchat it, and geotag me here at the building" started taking over because it's the place to be at and to be seen. It's gonna have nice bells and whistles, but it's the fans that make the arena.
That 06-07 Golden State team is in my Top 10 All-Time favorite team. The home crowd for GSW during that postseason was electric.
The old warriors fans can't afford to go to games anymore. I don't think they can afford to live there anymore with silicon valley money.
It's only gonna get worse at that crazy expensive new arena built for the sole purpose of absorbing as much corporate money as possible.
