Stuck at work in the med center right now.. they aren't letting anyone leave for now. Sucks cus this is my only day off and I got tickets to the game tonight!
Drove in from the East Side of town to the museum district to work in the med center in a honda accord. man up. you can make it. it's not that bad.
We are still in a slight risk for more excessive rainfall today through tomorrow. So it isn't over yet..
Just so ****ing sick of this city, the **** roads and the constant flooding when it rains. Sick of missing work due to rain. Sick of being stuck at gas stations during a storm due to our complete **** infrastructure and the cities incompetence on how to fix the areas the flood EVERY SINGLE TIME it rains. I'm ready to pull a Moe's and leave this **** bucket. "There's just too many people in the city, the growth, blah blah blah". Shut it with that ****. 288 has been under construction for 20 years. It's a river right now where they're not even doing construction. 45 South has been under construction since the 90's, nothing has changed and the workers are rarely there and when they are they sleep. Just never ending construction that rarely fixes anything once completed decades later. Crap as third world roads inner loop which causes me to get a flat at least once every two months. Ugly city, **** roads, sickening temps, terrible drivers, great food. 1 out of 5 is not cutting it. Yes I have been triggered. I have to coffee dook, I was stuck behind a flooded bus and my usual 30-40 minute trip to work was a 2 1/2 hour adventure. Post the "Well, bye" pic soon please. Love originality.
Memorial area seems to avoid the flooding. If I could afford a decent house there that's where I'd move. (Also helps that I work there, but still...)
Made it out FINE - near San Felipe inside the loop, right onto 610. Now I'm getting off to y'alls crying.
I am so glad it quit raining when it did this morning. My commute from I-10 & Washington to N. Shepherd & 11th street took me 45 minutes when it usually takes 5. After terrible traffic on I-10, I exited the N Shepherd/Durham exit and sat through 6 light cycles with no movement at the Durham light. Not sure what the problem was. I expected that the bayou had overflowed on N Shepherd but it didn't. Looks like it is really close so hopefully the rain holds off.
Lulz San Felipe. Memorial at Shepherd is where the fun was. Then the cluster**** that is always I-10 during any rush hour. Kinda gross you're getting off to dudes here though. You're off the Radiohead in Portland tour bus from here. I'm not waking up to crusted shut eyes because you were drunk.
For a country as large as this...there sure isn't a lot of perfect places to live. I guess maybe cause I can't afford to live in cali.
