DMo fits the Rockets system and that's all that mattered. Even in the PlayOff Exit Series more than half a year ago DMo did his fundamentals and had maybe one rare turnover and managed to put a dent in the opposition. And you are right when DMo is in Davis is out right? That's where role players struggle when there's no star to defer to on the court...

Who cares what happened more than half a year ago? Past is past, what the Rox need now is someone who can contribute. Somebody who clearly lost the trust of the coaching staff of the Pelicans (got only 7 mins because he went 0-2 from the field) is not good enough to get any PT on this team. He's getting like 5 mins of "let's try him out, maybe he'll score well this game...oh 0-2 again? Bench him" PT every game. DMo on this team wouldve just eaten 4M of capspace doing nothing on the court. All that sitting down for half a season probably made his back feel good enough for one game, then it quickly deteriorated, would not be surprised if DMo is playing through pain every night which is why all his shots are missing. His back is wack.

And honestly DD and whoever posters here who kept saying the Rox let an asset go for nothing etc. need to apologize to Morey. Apparently he knew something was wrong with DMo's back. Who would've thunk the guy who has access to DMo's actual medical records would know his current medical state??????? Amazing, right?

Not his fault. Harden and Dwight didn't want to eat lunch with DMo because they liked Hamburgers and DMo liked oysters.

Hell no, all that is wrong right now is that he is knocking off rust.

Lets not go making crap up.

If the Rockets KNEW something they would have never made him a RFA in the first place.....

If he was just knocking off rust how come his first game was his best game? Ever heard of somebody knocking of rust score 11 pts then follow it up with 3 pts then 0 pts? And what do you mean not making stuff up? IIRC wasn't the press release DMO failed his physical? You're the one coming up with all sorts of consipiracy theories regarding DMO why are you accusing me of making stuff up?

Somebody knocking of rust will how gradual improvement and not degradation, like what we're seeing here. If you're gonna tell me DMo needs weeks to knock off his rust then why the hell did you want him on the Rockets? What're we gonna do with a 1 year acquisition that will take months to get into game shape?

Or that he was probably promised playing time.

Or that the Rockets were forced to make him a restricted free agent because the NBA was punishing them for trying to circumvent the CBA.

Plausible ideas for sure, but unsubstantiated by facts and thus some would say...made up. I would say speculation is fun and good for discussion boards in general, it's just when they are passed off over and over again and presented as factual information that things can get a little dicey and inhibit healthy back and forth banter with people drawing a line in the sand on their position.

I said that might be the case, not that it WAS the case....if you made that leap it is on you, not me.

No way, DMo is a big that would help us, just because he is struggling while knocking the rust off doesn't mean he isn't good or couldn't help....let's see if these folks will be saying this same thing about Capela as he comes back and struggles.

That's what you're going with? Throw some ridiculous premise out there and use the word "might" so that when anyone questions it, you can respond with this?

You actually said "it would not surprise you" if it happened and that it was a "pretty common practice".

    All still true.....

Yep, your boy Nene has been great in those 16 minutes per game - just wish he could go longer.

I really wish we would have finessed Detroit out of that 1st round pick for D-Mo.
