Well I also believe that Lee is probably out of the Rox pay range and yrs. so I'm not going to argue with you. But you are far over-rating Brewers defense. I could put down the numbers from NBA.com/stats on less than 5 ft/ 5-9 ft/10-14 ft/15-19 ft & 20-24 ft......but I won't. We will agree to disagree. http://stats.nba.com/players/opponent-shooting/
We have to get PJ Tucker. That would give us 3 legitimate defenders who can also knock down the 3. I can't see a defensive lineup of Harden-Bev-Ariza-PJ-Clint doing alot of damage in spot minutes. Plus when Ariza sat we would still have another tall plus defender to throw at the Durant's of the world
PJ is only 6'5 so he's giving up a lot of length against Durant or Lebron. He is strong though (240ish) and has good hands for steals. But he's 31 already and he's only a 33% 3pt shooter. Justise Winslow is a poor 3pt shooter but he's longer and a defensive maniac. Also has ability to score in different ways. But Avery Bradley should be everyone's wet dream, he's like Bev, just younger and healthier.
Really? Thought the Suns had him at 6-7 my mistake. He's built like a tank though but with the height Ariza would have to play the 4 in that lineup. I knows he's not shooting hot from 3 but he will get wide open looks playing here unlike PHX so I would expect him to get up to 36% from 3. I love his defense and heart
Time to sell high on Harrell Let's move some end of the bench players... Our hot one from other teams "dog house" with higher upside long term. Remember give to get and where are the minutes going to come from if new players are on the team anyway? Harrell and McDaniels ( 2nd or Euro stash if needed) For W Cauley-Stein and Omri Casspi WCS is glued to the bench the last 5 games but fills our biggest need & Casspi (1 year contract) w/should take Brewer PT
Like idea of trading for Trill but Casspi will be a stretch 4 on Rockets, so may as well trade Dekker instead.
I like PJ Tucker here too...if the price is right though, since i don't think we're going to resign him this summer -> unless we miss out on a top free agent obviously. And btw Trez has probably shown more improvements in a couple of months than WCS has shown in a couple of years, not sure why we should swap them...Trez is younger, and seems to have some fire in him when he plays, the other guy eh...maybe it's the enviroment but still...
Full poo poo platter + 2017 pick #26 for Chandler, Tucker and 2017 pick #35, hopefully after convincing Chandler to waive his final year for a sum of money. Sign Chalmers. Capela/Chandler/Nene Anderson/Harrell/Dekker Ariza/Tucker/Dekker Bev/Gordon/Tucker Harden/Bev/Chalmers Let's go guys. I'm becoming more and more willing to bet on these guys and operate above the cap going forward. Signing big time FA's is going to be so freaking hard, we should focus on picks (which we won't get if we're good) or trades (which requires having great assets). All of these guys are great assets, we are in great shape for trades after this. Plus we would have picks 35, 38 and 45 in this draft and you KNOW Morey will hit on at least one of those. Am I delusional thinking that giving up none of the rotation and getting Chandler/Tucker makes us so dangerous, brings us into top defense without falling on offense? Can you imagine Tucker getting all the minutes Brewer/Ennis have been getting and Chandler replacing most of Nene and Harrell's minutes at C? We're already a top 10 bench, how good is our bench after this? DAMMIT MOREY DO SOMETHING!! lol Actually I'm glad he's being patient, I'm just getting impatient myself.
Btw, @Codman keeps talking about birds, I hope everyone is aware a Phoenix is a bird too. Phoenix just seems like a fantastic trade partner for us.
I love this move ....We are Deeeeeeeeeppppppp AT EVERY POSITION !! The variation of possible line-ups has crazy potential!
Yep, and it's funny cause i didn't realize that till i read your post...cause i was just thinking about "Suns" and not "Phoenix" lol
We need a trade for a big please! I didnt like that Harrell was playing wit the rest of the end-of-bench players during garbage time. Im fine with Tyson
The problem is, we finally have a group of guys who enjoy playing on this team. Success will do that, I suppose. And they're having fun. Codman's references seem to indicate depth additions and one possibility of a bigger fish (my terminology) that "would cost us some of our heart". That last bit makes me think of Ariza, whose loss would be a kick in the nuts right now....dude has his off nights, but he's been really good as of late.
The Cavs have an open roster spot. Waiting to fill it suggests they already have someone (LeBron trusts) in mind.
Carmelo has come out & said he might consider waiving his no trade clause for two teams (Clips & Cavs). Just like Morey, all the GM's are waiting to the last minute in hopes of having a gift land in their laps. Couple of guys Cleveland could have already signed.....same as Houston. Norris Cole, Chalmers, Hollis Thompson, etc are all fall back guys.
That's a fair and likely accurate point. I wouldn't pay all of that for just 1, but you're right that it's not enough for both. If I had to pick one...Barton. We will probably struggle against the Spurs not having someone to bang in the paint, but the real goal is to beat GSW. A big like Nurkic may not get any minutes against the Warriors. Barton will be invaluable in small ball lineups. Plus, I do think there is a reasonable trade for Koufos: Brewer + Llull + Portland 2nd for Koufos (and he waives his 2018-2019 player option).
(Bad pun approaching) Exactly. (Wait for it.) We're looking for a "spring forward" guy, not a "fall back" guy. (ba da boom TSH [high hat], hook appears from stage right to jerk me off the stage......)
No doubt. Everybody wants the decent players.....the teams that own their rights hold out for top dollar bidding. If "you" want Tyson Chandler & PJ Tucker.....then you can bet "they (Suns)" want Harrell &/or Dekker. But you will be here all week. Lol. I will exit stage right.
