    Good question.

And is the OC going to use O'Brien's system or install his own?

Probably needed to happen, but the playcalling wasn't good after Godsey was demoted.

I don't think he could take the stress of trying to improve this offense with what he would have to work with at QB, even though he coached Brock already. He stepped down to retire and take it easy. I am sure he and his family think his health is more important at this stage in his life. I would have to agree.

Just bring someone in who will open the offense up and use all the players available on offense.

I want one guy in charge. And at this point, I favor giving that power to the head coach vs a GM who will never be completely in charge.

At no point did anybody say it was all Godseys fault... except for those trying to complain about this move as a scapegoat-only/superficial one.

Fact remains, he was not good enough at his job. Bring in a new vision there or at least somebody who has experience in constructing an offense which can supplement the stuff already in place.

You've wanted BoB gone every step of the way. It's not hard to decipher that. Youve readily attributed any modicum of success the team has had over the last 3 years to anybody but him.

Sure. But who did they not use this year that they should have?

Improvements in the line will allow for more versatile playcalling. The line will improve with Martin alone. Newton probably won't be able to come back, so you replace his position via the draft or free agency.

I agree. The offense was absolutely terrible, but you can't put that all on Godsey. Having said that, something had to change.

Yes, I really don't know if Godsey was the problem or not. The offense looked pretty good the first game, but then we had injuries, the offensive line couldn't protect the QB, and the offense got real conservative.

Whatever. Last offseason we drafted for offense, we spent on free agents for offense, and then the offense got worse. I guess someone had to go.

Not 3 years, 2. It wasn't until that Hoyer-Mallet year that he looked incompetent.

I don't want to burn it all down.

    Keep RAC and Vrabel.

Heck keep Brian Gaine too and make him GM.

Then bring an OC who can install his own system instead of O'Brien's.

You are not going to fire OBrien and keep RAC.

Thinking the Texans fan base is full of gullible idiots is a lot like thinking Brock Osweiler is a bad quarterback.
