Since the Texans' best offense is their defense, I suggest Romeo Crennel.

McCoy was already hired in Denver.

He would have been my first choice, too.

    Trestman would be interesting.

I'm wondering if this is the first step to O'Brien gaining more control...

No idea who's available, but would love a proven guy to take the job, and take on the playcalling.

Then would draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd, and have a real QB competition next year, and start Savage or the rookie. No way I see Osweiller winning a QB battle, I remember many media guys and posters who were at camp didn't think he looked better than Savage this past camp.

    It's his system though, right?

It's why we were talking about him being an offensive genius and a QB guru.

No one was saying that about godsey, who really just was implementing it

Trestman wouldn't be interesting. Awful in Chicago. Awful & fired in Baltimore

Awesome. Another year of Osweiler because Godsey was the problem.

He's been out of the game for six years, though.

Not sure if that's too long.

    I hear he's retired.

But I also hear (his OC) Rick Dennison & (QB coach) Greg Knapp are available. ;)

Jags current offensive potential isn't less attractive than the Texans.

I hope they've put out a call to him. I mentioned this as a thought in another thread and someone pointed out that BO'B and Kelly are friends. Maybe that gets him to at least answer the call.

Chip just left Jacksonville, headed to Charlotte. Did Jags not give him an offer?
