OB: We have to play better offensively to get to where we need to be in this league, with the D we have. I put that on me. Everyone has to look in the mirror to see what we have to do better. Interceptions are never one guy's fault. We have to score more than 16. You're not gonna beat the Patriots scoring 16 points. I need to do a better job. It starts with me. Give the Patriots credit. They did a good job.
I'm not sure about that. Sure in the end the interceptions piled up, but if the Fuller TD happened and the Fiedorowicz TD happened and the special teams TD didn't happen, it's a totally different game. You likely don't have the interceptions then. Either way, it wasn't acceptable. You can't give up special teams TD's, drop TD's, and turn the ball over and still beat the Pats.
I guess an interesting development would be if BO'B is in fact disgruntled they could allow him to talk to SF, work out a trade and then hire Shanahan. Interesting offseason ahead.
Re-read the conversation if you missed the point. Practice makes perfect when it comes to reading comprehension.
The truth is we dont know what we have in Savage...But he is light years ahead as a passer...just in terms of mechanics. I can count on one hand the number of memorable drives Brock had as a QB this season. Everything else was terrible... Im gonna give more leeway to a guy that is more of an unknown ...than for Brock..who has shown himself to be putrid...
I can count on zero hands the number of total drives that ended in a TD pass from Savage in his career. Hell, it actually takes a hand to count the number of games he failed to move the ball past the 50 in a half of a game he started. Either way, he'll be in the mix for the QB competition next season and if he really is the savior like some think, I imagine we'll see something from him finally.
I agree. I hated watching our offense this year, and the only thing that ever made it enjoyable was watching our defense. This game tonight was the biggest letdown of all, because I actually thought we might pull off the biggest upset of all going into halftime. When Brady threw his second interception it made my day!!!! I should have known our offense would once again go back to the same old habits. Dropped balls and interceptions, and wait until it was too late to finally start throwing some passes over 15 yards. I want a new offensive coordinator, who wants to play more aggressively the whole game, and not the last 4 minutes of the game.
Brock: Any time you lose, the offense needs to play better. We had a couple opportunities to make plays as an offense & put our team in a great position & we didn't make those plays. It's a collective effort. It starts with myself. No one will work harder in the offseason than me to clean up our offensive issues.
Well...from my 3 keys earlier, I think the defense did its part getting some turnovers. I think the offense took a couple shots down the field and it didn't look like they were scared of the moment or scared of the patriots. I'd like to see the alternate reality of what happens if Fuller comes down with that football for a TD. That just would've been huge. Down 1 with what, basically the 4th quarter left? And all the momentum in the world. Not saying they would've won but I think right there, that's where the Texans stalled out and the patriots took over. I'd like to see them have this kind of mentality from the jump next year. Down the field, attacking defenses and not playing so scared and conservative. Perhaps doing something new in the divisional round isn't the best idea, although it was something I think we all preferred seeing. Off-season begins tomorrow. We need a few OL, a TE who can work the midfield and some help at safety.
Pats covered the ASTRONOMICAL spread... the same spread that would've given HOU credit for biggest upset in league history, had they won. It goes both ways. Texans made it competitve for a half though.
Eeeew! Please tell me you won't be one of the people actually standing in line to pay for his autograph or selfie pic!!!
