    This is pure gold.

The network that made in him into a 24-hour-news-cycle monster is now getting blacklisted as fake news. This is what will destroy Trump in the end; not Congress, not CIA, not Russia, not even #GoldenShowers.

Very entertaining but a huge mistake. He should have took his question and responded with a mocking, witty, reply. But make no mistake no answer he gave would stop CNN, they were after him before and they will continue regardless. CNN is no longer news, they are entertainment.

The next 4 years are going to be cringe inducing on a regular basis. We'd all be better off if he does what he threatened and just stop having the White House brief the press regularly.

Well the last 8 years were already that, so it's just more of the same. It was always going to take a lot for the next president to be worse than the current president, and I think Trump is up to the task. Also, a positive is that at least Trumps cringe inducing moments are kind of funny to laugh at.

Funny that he brings in supporters to his news briefings. How fragile must you be to do that? Strong outward, but inside is a sensitive ego being held hostage by the need of constant praises and ego-boosting support.

Hasn't he done this at every press conference? Bring people into the room to applaud and woop for him when he acts like a dick? It changes the narrative of the sound bite.

It is funny though that the last administration took the same approach with Fox News at first too. Trump just following in Obama's footsetps.....with the main difference being that Obama had his advisers be the ones to actually accuse the network of not being "real news". Of course I think the same thing that happened to Obama will happen to Trump here, in that if he tries to exclude CNN the rest of the networks will refuse to show up till he stops doing that. That's what had to happen to change the Obama administration's tone, it's probably what has to happen to change Trump's tone too.

I hate CNN. I don't they are quality news most of the time.

The one difference is that FOX themselves have even argued in court that they shouldn't be counted as real news.

The difference is...Fox News made it a point to deal in "fake news" when it came to Obama. When he was elected, they basically said they were going to be the "opposition news network" to his policies. CNN helped Trump get elected with all the free coverage he received.

There's an interesting phenomenon I noticed during the campaign, press conference, and on this board. When Trump bullies the press or calls out individual people, what follows is a cacophony of cackles from his supporters and they ignore any of the inherent problems that come with his behavior.

The CNN reprimand was only the most conspicuous example of Trump's childish behavior during the press conference. Goodness, that was morbidly entertaining - and it's really happening. It's clear these press conferences will be cheap showcases designed to lie to the American people.

Maybe we'll all laugh when Trump rips into someone else after he makes a mistake. That better be one hell of a zinger to make us all forget he's incompetent.

So are you trying to say that it was okay for Obama to do it but not for Trump to do it? I'll understand if you are, I know people have always bent over backwards to make excuses for the president. It's still a bit funny when those people feign outrage when someone else does similar things.

To be clear. I think both were wrong when they tried to freeze out one network unfairly.

This is exactly the kind of laughable take I was talking about. Saying basically "It's okay when Obama did it cuz Fox News is bad". It's just not a serious argument, especially when we know that CNN was working with the Clinton campaign the whole time and they do venture into "fake news" quite often. What it comes down to is that you think it's okay because it fits your political ideology......which is fine I guess, but you can't then get upset at those who have a different ideology that do the same thing. Either both are wrong or neither is wrong because they are at their core the exact same thing.

Well, we know how Trump react to news organization. If he see it as negative coverage = fake news. As positive coverage = great and real news. Remember him censoring certain news organization during the election. If he legally can, expect the same and soon you will only have positive coverage and friendly questions at his press conference. Hummm... in what country do we have such a situation with the press? MAGA!
