MVP - Harden COY - Dantoni 6MOY - Gordon Executive of Year - Morey MIP? Probably not but Capela would be considered DPOY? Nope
Saw on reddit- If James Harden didnt make a single all-nba team last year and goes on to win MVP this year, does that not make him the MIP also?
True but I bet Giannis gets the award. If they keep playing like this the whole season I see Harden getting MVP, Mike getting Coach, and Gordon for 6th man. Think GS will get GM due to them getting Durant without losing their 3 stars. Or at least will be a very strong reason for them to get the nod.
MVP/COY/6MOY I absolutely think are in play. GSW will win Executive of the year for getting Durant. book it. MIP will be Gannis. book it. DPOY? Draymond probably has the lead but I am sure others will be considered.
Harden should be MVP and MIP. How many players have ever gone from not making any of the three All-NBA Teams one year to winning the MVP the next...going from outside the Top 15 players to #1....now *that* is improvement. Throw that All-NBA snub last year back in the voter's faces. We can make this argument start trending!!! #HardenForMIP
Arguably LeBron should have won MIP in his second year with the Heat as well when he picked up MVP. Remember, the year before, voters made "The Decision" to put him at 3rd while giving it to Derrick Rose. Big improvement, LeBron!
Harden has some thoughts on All Star weekend. So how many Rockets will participate in All Star Weekend? "Two for sure," James Harden said. Harden named himself and Eric Gordon who should play in the All Star game in New Orleans next month. He also named Montrezl Harrell and Sam Dekker for the Rookie/Sophomore game, Pat Beverley in Skills Competition and Ryan Anderson and Gordon in the three-point contest. What about Harden in the three-point contest? "I can be in the three-point contest," he said. "We got so many guys who can participate in All Star weekend."
