I certainly wanted to watch it and was interested, but it seemed to textbook that I started to not pay attention. I might give it another go after this series is over.

I fail to understand why a fake religious organization that amounts to bad science fiction is legal under the law to pretty much do whatever they want...especially when it is obvious they are breaking the law behind closed doors. I'm just wondering if all this exposure is going to yield any real results. The only results it may yield is just informing possible future victims before they get brainwashed and involved in a lifelong scam. And, it's shameful that involved celebrities go around quoting their own experiences with Scientology as positive and great when we know for a fact that they get special treatment and the common people are the ones involved in the true mess. It's like the celebs are pretending Scientology doesn't give them special treatment over others. Therefore, I have to raise an eyebrow at involved celebs. People like John Travolta and Tom Cruise definitely have a screw loose...even though they try to come across as normal in the entertainment industry in interviews and such. It really is strange.

It's not illegal to believe weird stuff or to encourage people to disconnect.

Legally you need to prove fraud or physical coercion/harrasment, etc. There is definitely evidence of that.

They have wide protection under the first amendment protecting religious freedoms. This was another win they got when they harassed the irs for tax status.

Is there a real religious organization? One that is not really a business in it to make money?

This was interesting at first but got old really fast -- the episode with the twin brothers was really lame.

Nope. Just a guy that makes very good money & feels that is a good way to help out. My business is still starting up, but I still fund money to water well projects.

You don't have to be religious to do these things, but you need to know that we do these things to help our fellow man.

I've seen greed. I've seen folks that will take every penny from you and not care. I've had friends sentenced in Prison for decades.

Belief is ultimately a good trait. Yes, it can be manipulated, but that has never been what it was, or is, ultimately about.

Cheers, brother. We may not agree all the time, but that is ok.

I'm an Episcopalian. But I tend to call myself a CEO Christian, as in Christmas & Easter Only.

I definitely believe in a God; I've seen to much to ever dissuade me with that. However, I've never enjoyed the whole Church thing. I've tried, and maybe when I'm older I may want to, but it isn't my thing.

So, I love God and all that it stands for, but I'm not a Church person.

    Hope that malarkey made sense.

I just can't believe in God but it is difficult to reconcile how many incredibly smart people believe in God.

Primarily because I've seen people pass on. Let me ask you this: what theory do you subscribe? Because if you truly feel there is no greater power, how did this all happen? Rocks hitting each other in a miraculous setting, because while we keep finding life here, we can't find it anywhere else.

I just look at our Universe, and that every time we try to debunk what God is it comes back to us? You don't have to necessarily be religious. But we didn't come from nothing.
