Today, I’m announcing my retirement from the NBA. Thank you to everyone who supported this humble redheaded role player through the years. I loved every team I played for and every city I lived in.

Staying true to myself, I made this mildly humorous video. Unless a professional “spot shooting” league miraculously crops up, I hope you will continue the support for whatever comes for me after basketball.

    Yours truly,

    Matt Bonner

(aka The Red Rocket, aka The Red Mamba, aka The Sandwich Hunter, aka Coach “B”)

I can't believe he hung it up. I mean.. he started 2 games last year. Clearly he had more years in the tank.

The numbers that guy put up were incredible... if you condensed his whole career down to 1 season here are his numbers:

    56.5 ppg / 28.9 rpg / 2.6 blks / 3.5 stl / 6.7 assists

Dayum, almost as impressive as West Brook's numbers.

I think it's really cool that Bonner can poke fun at himself like this. I;m kinda surprised he's retiring

Appears that he got a gig with the broadcast team. He'll be Spur's version of Matt Bullard pretty much

I thought Matt Bonner died in a forest fire a few years ago.

He started two forest fires, each was to commemorate his starts in his final season with the Spurs. However, he lived to tell the tale.
