There might be a team or two that bank on Houston having an injury or two from the ones already sustained.
This is probably the main reason Vegas had the Rox at 41.5 game win total prior to the season. EGo, Ryno,
Nene do have a tendency to miss 20 games or more in any given season. Currently the Rox are about
to play the 41st game of the season (midway point.....82 game season). I'm not, but what if a team gambles
that Houston has an injury to Gordon/Ryno/Nene/Harden/Ariza for more that 20 games? There is still time for such hypotheticals. The first round pick "could" then be (early 20's)???. Health/wins
can neither be assumed nor guaranteed. Clippers we're rolling before injuries to Blake & CP3.
All it takes is one team to roll the dice.

Yeah excellent find. Just another stat proving how valuable korver could have been here and how great of an asset he will be in Cleveland, especially against gsw.

Can you send me a link to that @Jatman20 I'm a not very familiar with how to scoure thru stats.Nba because I'm much more of a bkref guy.

I'd like to see some of the other top guys for that and see some potential trades that would help us.

I called for this earlier in the week and was shot down.

I wonder what it would take? Morey probably doesn't have enough to trade for a good young big like Nurkic

Here you go BigMaloe. On double checking my stats I noticed I gave numbers on what they call
"Spot Up." Here is "Catch and Shoot." It breaks down from 3 as well. Korver still ranks near top.

I've said it before. Dekker is not going to do anything for us come playoffs.
He just bricked two free throws when we had momentum. Terrible focus.

I like the guy but his value can be perceived as decent right now on the market. I really think including someone like him in a trade would help net us something better without affecting team chemistry.

Not interested in trading for him, but dunleavy might get a buyout, would absolutely take him if that happens

The problem for Denver in a Nurkic trade is that Nurkic is still on his rookie contract and doesn't make enough money(1.9mil). So the question is do you take a protected 1st or 2nd round pick for him. My guess is they think he is more valuable than that so I'm sure they are trying to package him with Gallo or Barton to get something of right now value in return. I totally agree that Nurkic should be the Rockets number 1 target to round out the front court depth.. KJ for Nurkic works but if I'm Denver I want a more proven back court player than I already have in Jamal Murray, Mudiay, Barton, and sometimes Chandler.

Afflalo has looked terrible but I bet he would look much better here.

He'd eat all of Brewer's minutes and some of Ariza's. Not Dekker's.

He could go for Brewer, KJ, and a protected 1st. I think Atlanta would've taken that over Cleveland's 2019 protected first, especially if we leveraged an earlier one line 2018 with top 10 protection.

edit: Sorry you meant Wilson, yeah fair point. I was thinking Korver, again.

Why would you want to bring a chubby slow big guy to play in this offense or defense. This guy doesn't fit. No way no how.

I think Feigan reported Bobby Brown didn't made the trip to Canada and he is likely to be waived before the guarantee deadline.

Obviously you haven't seen him play.

Yes they need a guy like Nurkic to matchup against the Utah/Grizz of the world.

To make a realistic trade, we have to assume that we won't send out 6 players in one deal. Also, Morey will always hold onto one decent pick for him to draft with this summer (even if its just a 2nd rounder).

So I would say the best package to put together if we wanted to add just one more player would be:
Dekker + Brewer + KJ + 1st Rd pick + worst of 2nd Rd pick + rights to Gentile

That's giving up a decent number of assets with Dekker and picks but also making a team take on two unwanted contracts. This would add up to $12.7 million in salary which means we can trade for someone with a $15 million contract like Gallinari.

Unlikely but just saying that is probably the most we'd be willing to offer, without messing with our rotation much.

Sidenote. When we're winning this much Morey most definitely sees it as an opportune time to sit tight and wait until the final few days (trade deadline) before making a move. He knows injuries can happen and certain positions may need more attention that others when that happens. A few years ago he got his 3rd pg in Pablo in case an injury happens for our playoff run and Bev went down soon after.

I'm really confused as to what we need/should trade for right now.

I'd like to have a better rebounding big to backup Capela, but I'd hate to lose what Harrell/Nene provide.

I'd like to have a better offensive option than Brewer, but I dont want a defensive sieve.

    Kj + Ennis + Denver's 2017 2nd + Houston's 2017 1st for Will Barton and Jusef Nurkic

Two birds, one stone type deal

    Harden / Gordon
    Beverley / Barton
    Ariza / Barton
    Anderson / Dekker
    Capela

    Harrell-Nene-Nurkic depending on matchup.

Barton is a defensive sieve. I've posted the same deal but include Gary Harris a much better secondary ball handler and Denvers best on-ball defender.

Philly has been showcasing Ersan Ilyasova since like early December. Still a sweet shooting PF, I'm betting not big on defense though. I wouldn't mind him as another floor spacer in exchange for Brewer. In today's NBA I can't believe OKC would trade a shooter like him.

The Magic could actually use Brewer, they look like they need a backup SF. All their SF's are makeshift guys like Green or Gordon or the struggling Hezonja.

Before you FLY to conclusions, be real we're not going to get an excellent young prospect from them with our poo poo platter.

But we might be able to snag one of Meeks, Augustin or CJ Watson for KJ. Low risk, small shuffle. Meeks and Watson don't have guaranteed money beyond this season so neither team affects its cap space. If it's Augustin they want to trade, we see if for some self-loathing reason they might consider Brewer and our 2nd.

Would love to have any of those 3 replacing Ennis as the 4th guard.

After watching today match, seems our center still ok at this price and ability. How About Trade a bench player which can play power forward and small forward position with 3 point ability.
