Well it is the COACH or possibly the GM starting the rumors and beefs before the playoffs. Them focusing on THEIR own job situations first. Its not like McNair decided to make a feel good love-you-guys comment for no reason. That dragged the owner into it.

If the owner wants to keep his coach, he has to mend things publicly or privately.

So Brock was forced on O'Brien and O'Brien wanted Savage to start from the begining

Yet here we are and we're starting Brock over Savage in game 2.

So what are the examples of O'Brien not being able to get his guys if it's not the QB?

Get ready for 30 Lamar Miller carries for 50 yards.

BoB isn't dumb enough to quit the most secure job in the NFL. Those rumors are either complete BS or being floated in a pathetic attempt.

Both McNair and O'Brien publicly dispelled those rumors yesterday. Not sure what else they can say but I guess if people wanna talk, that's what they're gonna do. Like Jim Harbaugh said, "a lot of gobble gobble turkey from jive turkey gobblers"

They'll do whatever they can to keep trying to force the narrative no matter how foolish it makes them look. If the owner says he isn't going to fire him and the coach is under contract, then he's staying.

Judging by Bob's personalities, if this whole crap is just pure rumors, he will not even answer any of the questions to give any comments about it and will just reply : "next question".

So far his replies on this whole thing is more soft and weaker than his play calls and game plans.

The coach had a chance to dispel the rumors as he was asked last week; he avoided the question. All he had to say was "No. That's not true." Now after the game, he's willing to dispel them. Sounds too convenient to me? I don't know if it was true or not but I believe the rumors came from someone with the Texans.

This "story" if you want to all it that was merely the result of conjecture by the networks who, at seasons end, were sitting around scattershooting on which coaches were on the hotseat and somehow BoB's name came up (probably because of all the turmoil with Osweiler). Then Glazer tweets and Lance Zierlein puts out his article and now there's this idea that BoB is potentially in play to leave. Anyone, I repeat A N Y O N E that has followed this team knows good and well that McNair will not kick a HC out the door who's winning the division and has gotten his team into the playoffs for two straight years. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN. And as for this so-called "friction" between BoB and Rick Smith, I ain't buying it until someone can show some concrete proof that Rick is blocking whatever BoB wants to do because everything you see on this team is what he wants. It's Smith who does the bidding of the owner and HC and not the other way around.

Yeah, hoooo boy that notoriously hard-hitting, muckraking Houston football media has been so unfair to BOB and the team during his tenure.

What will be funny is Vrabel getting the Rams job over O'Brien.

So all this info coming out now just confirms Assweiler was dumped on him.

So now all of a sudden he has some demands since he won a playoff game against a team minus it's star QB.

Raiders were in zombie mode....the Browns woulda beat them in that game.

I say if he wants to go, let him go...

    He hasn't done much...

Offense is anemic and his QB whisper is falling on deaf ears.

Would be interesting to see who he would choose at QB via the draft if he had his say, but eh....it would prolly be someone Mallet-like...

Dude just strikes me as all bark, no bite.

If he wants to bounce...let him.

How so? Why doesn't he start Savage in game 2 then?

Jon Gruden was traded to Tampa for two first round and two second round picks.

If the Jags or Rams want to offer us anywhere close to that for OB, I'm all for it. I think he's done a fine job he's not irreplaceable.

On a side note it would be hilarious to watch the Rams trade away multiple picks for a coach after they dealt away those picks for Goff last year.
