I there are two big reasons for the turnaround. First is Patbev going back to the lineup, he has definitely improved a lot from last season he can now make plays and score in the paint in additon to pesky D and 3s. Second is the vastly improved play from Anderson those first 11 games were the times he'd score 16 pts one game and then 6 pts the next, 24 pts now then he'd have 10 pts in 2 games after. After he started becoming more consistent as an offensive threat thats when the Rox really took off.
Not disrespecting PBev who has played great for him, his return helped even more because it persuaded MDA to bring Gordon off the bench. Even if PBev gets injured you're still going to stick with Gordon of the bench. It's a rotation that just works better.
I don't think coming off the bench or starting mattered as much as Bev allowing either Harden or Gordon to be on the court all the time, since he's good defensively and can hit open 3s you can have Harden or Gordon be the primary option. Previously without Bev MDA was forced to give PT to Ennis, and the board would always have people losing their **** when you had Ennis and Brewer on the court at the same time LOL.
It's the same concept. Ennis was playing because that was their first choice with Bev injured. Now they would t go to him as much if Bev got injured again. It does be pretty weird but I could almost see MDA going Harden, Ariza, Dekker as the 1,2,3 if necessary. Whatever he decides though I just don't think he's putting Gordon back in the starting lineup under any scenario.
But starting or not starting has impact only until the game starts, after that whether you go in after 1 minute after the game starts or 1 minute before the game ends you're already a bench player. Gordon still has 30 mins PT per game which are starter minutes anyway, so I think the bigger priority was just having an amazing scorer at all times. I don't know but maybe it's not ok for Gordon to be a bench dude while Ennis gets the starting SG slot, at least Bev is a starter caliber guy whereas Ennis is clearly bench material, at least that's what I saw when Bev was injured because Gordon started but then he'd quickly sit down after a couple of mins.
They've been 24-5 since I left my ex-girlfriend... it is not lost on me. I blame her for the prior struggles. You may all do so as well.
I thought the 6-5 was encouraging. Win against the spurs and some close losses on the road. 14 out of the first 20 on the road was brutal.
I still can't figure out how we lost the 1st game to the Flakers. I think if we play the Lakers 10 more times, we would win all of them.
Wow once this team started clicking on all cylinders, they took flight and never looked back. Who would've thought this team would be stumping with the big dogs. Morey for President. That hot seat lit a fire and look at the product being displayed on a nightly basis. Great job
