He argues it with everyone because that's been one of his main troll narratives this season.

OK fair enough. Im just saying it would be unusual for the owner to come out and address every leak.

But maybe he was considering firing O'Brien

This is the kind of leak you put a seal on. Quick. This is not an everyday small leak.

Thats the whole reason this whole thing seems odd. Thats why we want to know what the hell is going on.

obvious to me Rick smith was doing the play calling in the first half to shove it b.o.b's buttchin that brock is the man. Then B.O.B was like, oh yeah, I show your extra slim fit suits...goes on to run every down in the 2nd half. Situation bad, yo. they hate each other!

I thought the first half was a lot of what I wanted before the regular season began, almost half/ half. Except you can't go air raid with 42 seconds to go in the second.

Who doesn't run the ball with the lead even bellicheat before the ugg offense came to be. It would be nice if the o-line got more of a push. Definitely more power running game, zone has become obsolete which is a shame.

If he leaves, it will be because of his decision... not the front offices.

The team plays hard for him. He does run a tight enough ship.

People here forget how hard it is to win consistently in this league. The Raiders haven't won a playoff game since 2002.

It could most definitely get worse.

Well then that basically says that he's not leaving because if he just left while under contract then he wouldn't be able to work in the NFL.

People can resign. They lose money. It's not a prison.

It's not. But not sure how many people would walk away from 10M while not being able to be a HC either next season. Could even be 2 years.

It's so silly. From that article: "O’Brien believe he wants more. Specifically, more power to shape his team. More influence over his roster. More power over draft picks. More power to cut any player he sees fit at whatever moment he deems necessary. Not to mention more power over the local media, which O’Brien apparently believes gets a significant amount of leeway from the franchise."

More power over the media? He wants to put pancakes on a ricecake diet? good luck with that! It's the softest media.

More power over draft picks? since 2014 he's slowly been getting the O line to shift from zone to the power running game. Allen at RG was all him, how he is a more aggressive blocker. Draft classes for him have been very nice for what he and romeo want to do.

More power over roster? He has that. He got to bench hoyer after the first half. Got to bench mallet. You mean to tell me it was rick salivating over the understudies of #12. If savage wasn't always hurt he could have put him earlier no one was going to say anything.

You can't be bellicheat not without #12

Sure, he can resign if he doesn't want to coach in the NFL and either retire or go back to college. If he plans on coaching in the NFL, it'll be with the Texans because he's under contract.

Everything's negotiable for a price. Trades are also possible.

If he really truly wants out, we get to see how badly.

Only thing I'll say is interesting is McNair chose not to address it until after the Texans won the game. I don't think he had planned to fire him personally but if they had lost there would definitely have been a major meeting about what to do going forward.

McNair said, "Yeah. We're already talking about next year."

Owner in the middle of a playoff run. This team really cares about winning a championship guys.

Yeah that is an odd list of demands. The local media seems to have very little inside knowledge of the Texans compared to the John McClain/ Oilers days. And not to mention that O'Brien is the king of the leaks.

And more power to cut any player anytime is silly for someone as emotional as OBrien. This is the same guy that wanted to cut Mallett before a game which would have left the Texans with no back up.
