I think Harden can afford to lose some more pounds given his skill set. He will still be able to score on the drive but have much more energy for a long NBA season.
I have to disagree, Liberon. To me, James appears to be in the best shape of his career. He's just a big guy. He has a thick upper body. It's not "fat," in my opinion, not like it appeared at the beginning of last season, at any rate (whether that was fat or not, he was clearly not in NBA shape). Harden doesn't look like he gets nearly as fatigued at the end of games as he has in the past. Perhaps he could lose a few pounds, but would that be a good idea? A big part of his game is bulling past defenders. Based on his play, my biggest concern is reducing his turnovers, yet his main competition for MVP, putting aside Curry and James, is Russell Westbrook, who averages 5.3 turnovers per game himself. In my opinion, his weight isn't an issue.
Harden is not fat, he is in great shape, but he does have a thick build. We are 29-9....and as it is a team game sometimes the team needs to pick him up, when he is not playing well or tired......so yeah......we are fine. DD
I'm watching the Grizzlies and Warriors game and I'm tellin' you guys the Rockets need to be able to defend way better with Beverly resting. The team needs interior defense like no other to contend.
Grizzlies and Jazz will be a major problem for the Rockets. We have to hope that we don't have to face those teams. They have the recipe to beat us. Disciplined defense and elite rim protection.
Honestly? There won't be a "good" matchup for us in the 1st round. Jazz, Clippers, Grizzlies, and even the Thunder all present serious matchup challenges for us in certain areas.
Gosh, wouldn't it be GREAT to have a 3pt shooting 7foot tall center to drag those bigs out to the 3pt line and open up the lane, or have that same Center be able to take them on in the post? Man, that would be awesome....guess we can watch the Pels doing that. DD
LOL that ship has sailed. Besides Anderson is already doing a stellar job of that. You should be hoping Clint well or Nene and even Harrell be healthy and good come PlayOffs time.. Geez.
Mason Plumlee would fit in the Rockets system so nicely and exactly what this team needs for Play Off run. Think of Mason as the combo of what Clint and Nene bring minus the old age problems of Nene. And I think Mason Plumlee would grow on DD and we all know why so it's a win win situation.
It would be great... Oh wait, this kid's taking his talent to Galveston Younger, taller, shot blocker and MUCH BETTER shooter.
19 yr old playing with grown as professionals. You put him in MDA's system, there is no reason he will flourish
Tired of seeing posts of arguing little girls on here. Take it to a different format THIS is what should be happening between Rockets fans right now
I love E.G. But he does cry every game (after the inevitable missed layup) at the refs like he's still on the Clippers.
