Man, a frontcourt of Davis-Millsap would be tough to face 4 times per year. That's some solid rim protection
Yes, one beat writer from a team noted that the first round pk from Cavs will probably be pick 30 (1st rd). As much as I would like to have Tyson Chandler, having both Nene & Chandler is redundant. When I mention trading Nene members here get upset. Rockets shld be ok w/Nene for muscle against guys like Gobert, Gasol brothers, DeAndre Jordan.....even if it's just 10-12 minutes of coverage. I don't believe Nene came to Houston to win a ring (void of D12 provided playing time); but now that the Rockets are contenders it probably gives him the best chance to win a ring. He probably doesn't want to leave former coach Bzdelik & former teammate/friend Ariza. I think the Rockets can get by without Dekker. Like Dekker....great potential....great kid......hard worker......but I feel it's easier to find a backup SF to Ariza over the summer than mobile athletic centers for today's NBA. We can get by with Stauskas and Gerald Henderson. We play Gordon/Bev at the same time.....we could do 2 SG's at times & pick up the pace while being threats to keep on adding 3's. Harden playing SF at times becomes an option. That would be point-SF......just to be clear. Fills the void of Dekker. Capela and Noel should both be comfortable at 20 mins/game. Gives about 8 mins to play with whoever is playing better at the moment between the two. Many here don't want Capela challenged for Center minutes. I don't mind a little competition. **I believe the college ranks are now kicking out more 3-point shooting SF's around 6'8". Rockets could draft one, acquire one by way of FA or bring Gentile from overseas.
Even better if they throw in Barbosa. Chandler & Barbosa for KJ/Ennis/Brewer. That solves our 2 big problems, rebounding/rim protection & a guard that can shoot & defend if Pat is out. Plus they both have played well for D'Antoni in the past & both are vets with championship experience.
Or the next Dekker. Haha....yes Dekker heard the next Parsons so Gentile hears the next Dekker. On a serious note; seems to me Gentile can do what Dekker does.
Ariza Bev Brewer 2nd round pick for Jimmy Butler Doug McDermott both/or Anderson Capela Dekker 1st round pick for Cousins Butler trade: Capela/Nene Anderson/Trez McDermott/Dekker Butler/Gordon Harden Cousins trade: Cousins/Nene Trez Ariza/Brewer Harden/Gordon Beverly Both Cousins/Nene Trez McDermott/ Butler/Gordon Harden
HAHAHAHA- you make any one of those trades and you can kiss our chemistry goodbye. First round exit with Cousins. I seriously don't understand people's nut huggin for Cousins on this board. The dude's brain is squashed when it come to basketball and being part of a team. The age of a big guy leading your team to the promise land are gone for now. Why would you WANT to take a step back in an obvious wrong direction?
All 3 pointer and bev should remain in the team. Hawks is selling their Tim Hardway Jr. I think it is good for bench
I think Memphis would be wise to target millsap. I think it's would benefit us to help facilitate a trade. A couple wing players I like come to mind like Thabo Allen Carter Daniels Tim jr I like all especially for the cheap.
Oh I know. I was contemplating and trying to think of how Toronto could get him and millsap to Memphis makes so much sense because they are all in (so deep) and upgrading zbo to millsap would push them close to contender. Conley Allen Parsons Millsap Marc Would be pretty damn competitive with any one.
