I have a flight back home to Houston at around 7. I am assuming my flight is cancelled, but I just called United and they are saying that as of now, it is not cancelled. Watching live news coverage though, the airport almost has to be closed for a long while right?
wouldn't surprise me if true. TSA missed the underwear bomber and the shoe bomber. They have never caught any bomber/terrorist.

Says flight is On Time, but there are literally hundreds of people out on the tarmac and news makes it seem like jt will be a while. Trying to make it back to go to the Texans playoff game so want to move early on moving fligts to Miami/West Palm. What are you planning?

Quite possibly. It was originally 6:48, but delayed to 7:13 or something. I am going to call United again. Per zeeshan's helpful updates, the airport director said no movement in or out until they are given an all clear. With what the live coverage looks like, it's crazy over there, and it makes no sense to make my way towards that circus. There are 3 flights tomorrow early through United that would get you home before the Texans game. I haven't looked at the options out of Miami Airport, but I am sure EVERYONE is re-routing through there, so that might be just as crazy.
