I always suspected the Schaub post-lisfranc extension (not the intial signing) was a McNair Rick thing. Schaub was surprised to get it, Rick was defensive in the news conference, and I couldn't find any Kubiak quotes when the extension was signed.

schaubie was all kubiak. kubiak always has your back. that's part of the good and the bad with Kubiak and the reason why all his players love that kid.
I think that's where the rift happen. Rick smith wanted something (flashier. Manning perhaps.) Kubes wanted to keep going with schaubie, which if you put into that 2011 team was a contending squad.

Only they know what goes on but what Rick did to Kubiak to turn on him, well, that was cold blooded. Glad the crew cut kid with rockstar wade won a superbowl in denver.

 

I wish coach Bob all the best after the embarrassing loss tomorrow to the Raiders and "parting away" with the Texans and becoming the next head coach for the Bills.
